This place is amazing. It's a resort without the resort price. Wonderful employees. The best aperitif!! Spectacular pool and views.

I truly enjoyed my stay - from staff to amenities . I want to come back! Please note that it is a small town so finding lots of restaurants open late will be hard and using Uber to go to the airport (or anywhere) will be nearly impossible. Ask front desk for planning and assistance with this.

Great staff and beautiful property. Gorgeous lake views. Most of the outdoor property has been renovated. Caffe and restaurant staff is outstanding and super helpful to us. Unfortunately the hotel was full due to olympic team for rowing competitions and we got a very old room with dirty yellow paint and poorly maintained green carpet on the 4th floor. This hotel has lots of potential byt I highly recommend the manager or maintenance team to give a fresh coat of paint to the room and the stairs area.

Such a beautiful special place. The hotel needs some upgrading but the rooms are super clean, I slept like wow and the restaurant, bar, grounds and pool are just gorgeous.

Beautiful property with nice mature trees. Service was very courteous upon arrival. The pool and outside areas are clean and updated. The hotel is situated at a short distance to the main city of Varese. The only down side is some of the rooms still have carpet, and showers with curtains. Overall, I recommend this establishment and would come back.

Great service but it’s not recommended for families staying… it’s not comfortable for kids…no iron available and they do have steamer yes but limited. Service and food are awesome the view it’s incredible as well

Our experience at the Palace Grand Hotel in Varese was nothing short of exceptional. Whether we were winding down after a day of adventure or enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail, Domenico and Marco made sure everything was perfect. We left with two new friends. One of the true highlights was the spa experience with Lisa, whose lymphatic drainage massage was absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly skilled, attentive, and made me feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It was truly one of the best spa treatments I’ve ever had. We were also lucky enough to plan a rehearsal dinner and Welcome drink experience with Chiara. She went above and beyond to make sure we knew all of our options and plans for our wedding celebration coming up. Her attention to detail, warmth, and thoughtful hospitality made everyone feel welcome and at ease. She’s truly a gem. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, with sweeping views of Lake Varese and an atmosphere that feels both tranquil and grand. Every staff member we encountered was gracious and professional, and the service throughout was top-notch. We can’t wait to return for our wedding celebrations. Amazing place, the hill is a bit of a climb but well worth the views, spent a lot of money on taxis as it’s away from a lot of transport links, may be worth hiring a car. Service is amazing, bar staff super helpful and restaurant very nice.

We love the surroundings of the hotel and the Christmas decorations were awesome, creating the holiday vibes. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant served excellent food - breakfast and dinner. One thing that can be improved will be the condition of the hotel. Being an establishment with many years of history, the place do look dated and the room allocated to us had a broken toilet. The staff was kind enough to extend us another room beside so that we can access the toilet.
