We were quite disappointed with the Sir Christopher Wren as the reception staff were very disinterested and all but unhelpful. At check in, the staff member told us we had 3 stairs to go up to our room, which was good as we had large bags pending leaving the UK the next day. What we found were many stairs in at least 4 groups - all up around 3 flights of very steep stairs. We did get help from porters by chance as we went to the room, and requested them on check out. But the check in person was either not across the hotel, or couldn’t have cared less for guests. Also, the hotel charges £15 for “24 hours” of parking at a nearby (several hundred yards away) public parking station and emails from the hotel confirm 24 hours of parking. However, we were told on check in that the paid parking was midday to midday & you can’t check in till 3. Further, the check in person - probably to fob us off - told me that as I needed parking until around 4pm on the day of check out, I should ask the staff member when I did check out if I could extend the parking (the inference we took from that was that it would likely be included in what we already paid) a few hours. However, the different person at check out told us that yes it could be extended - for a further £15! Oh & direct payment at the pay parking lot is £10.80. What a rip off! A pity as the room, when we got to it was nice up until 7am when the garbage truck was emptying bottles noisily, & the breakfast was good. Look elsewhere!

Room was very small. The safe in the room was useless to us as it was on the floor. If I at 80 had got down to operate it I wouldn’t be able to get up.

I reserved two rooms, one room had non-functioning air-conditioning and the temperatures were above 93°F. We ended up only using one room, but the staff required that we pay for both rooms even though I try to cancel and contact Expedia.

We had two rooms and both were amazing with comfortable beds. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was very tasty. It’s also a quick walk to the station that takes you to London. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Great place, just a short walk to the Castle. Good room and AC was a godsend, as it was in the 30's for the trip. Helpful & friendly staff. Very good hotel and a great stay.

We enjoyed three nights at the hotel and found the location second to none! It is on the River Thames and was in the shadow of the castle. The rooms were exceptionally quite and spacious. The breakfasts were very good and the restaurant had nice choices for lunch, tea and dinner.

Love the hotel and all the food. Location is excellent. I have a problem with my knees and I do wish the main building had a lift. I cannot do the stairs. However, my room in Windsor House section was fantastic as always when I stay there.

Great location for exploring Windsor and Eton. Outside bar has a lovely view of the river and breakfast selection was great -a lot of options.

Great location on the Thames. Nice staff and nice terrace. The room was a bit worn for the price we paid but we noticed our rate which we booked months ago was higher than the rate had we booked short notice. For the short notice/lower rate the room was worth the money. Like that it was on a pedestrian part of the street right next to the bridge. Dinner was good.

Great hotel in a historic building at a great location a couple of blocks from Windsor Castle and right next to the Themes River and next to the foot bridge to Eton. Good breakfast buffet with a wide variety of offerings. Clean rooms, friendly staff. This would be the only hotel I would consider if I travel to Windsor, England again.

The Sir Christopher Wren Hotel is a brilliant collection of historic properties located on the Thames River and an easy walk to Windsor Castle and shopping. Helpful staff at check-in and check-out and in the Brasserie restaurant with a tasty pub/bistro menu. Room was spacious with a bathtub (and robes) for relaxing after walking around town. A great place to stay close to Heathrow.

Staff were amazing from front desk to restaurant and bar. Beautiful outdoor patio on the river. Was a great location and walking distance to many shops restaurants etc. beautiful area. Lots of options on the breakfast buffet. Drawback for some might be that there is no elevator to upper floors and no A/C in rooms. So need to climb stairs with luggage. Front staff was always available for taking care of the luggage though and very helpful and never had to wait for any sort of service. Only spent one night and I would definitely stay here again without hesitation and spend more time exploring.
