I stayed for a week in this hotel and I can't express my satisfaction enough. Accommodated in a well preserved building, it provides rooms, quite wide and clean. The people working are effective and polite, reassuring the visitors get everything needed. The location of course is ideal, near Santa Maria Novella, the train station and plenty of interesting spots. Wifi works well. I appreciate that, though I had to leave slightly earlier than the time the wonderful breakfast is served, 07:30-10:00, I was still allowed to have something from the buffet. Overall, I highly recommend it.

This hotel is so gross! First of all, the rooms are very small, I could have been okay with that if it wasn’t for the rest of my experience. Shortly after checking in I noticed a large cockroach in the bathroom. After the cockroach was removed I also noticed that the walls look very grimy, the lighting was very dim so that almost hid it. I was also made very uncomfortable by one of the staff who insisted on taking me out after I said no. As a single female traveler I did not appreciate that. In the end, I left this hotel 2 night early with no refund and ended up booking somewhere else. There are better places to stay in Florence!

The hotel is conveniently located near the main train station, about a 10-minute walk, and in a relatively central area. We received a room on the top floor, which was of reasonable size, but the lighting was poor – the room felt quite dark. There was an issue with the air conditioning that was immediately fixed by the staff. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent, but the dining room definitely needs improvement in both quality and variety. Overall: If location and accessibility are your top priorities, this hotel is a very good choice. If you are looking for a more refined or value-for-money experience, it may be less suitable.

⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review for Hotel Unicorno – Florence, Italy Website: HotelUnicorno.it Hotel Unicorno is a modest, clean, and very serviceable hotel in a fantastic location. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the main train station and another 5 minutes to the Duomo — perfect for exploring Florence on foot. The included breakfast was very nice, and the Wi-Fi worked great. The staff were absolutely wonderful — friendly, helpful, and always available. The front desk managers, Ergin and Amir, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They answered the phone every time I called and even helped me carry my luggage up and down the one flight of stairs before the elevator. Overall, this is a great, affordable hotel right in the heart of Florence’s historic district. I highly recommend Hotel Unicorno for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great value while visiting Florence. We stayed in the basic economy room with a king bed and a twin bed for 3 People. They also have superior renovated rooms

The Unicorns Hotel boasts a perfect location right in the heart of Florence, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The interiors have been recently renovated, offering a fresh and stylish atmosphere. Service throughout our stay was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable, though it could benefit from the addition of some salad options. Our room, while newly updated, had a few design flaws — particularly the placement of the bed against a cold exterior wall, which affected comfort. However, the bathroom was excellent, and the amenities provided were of high quality. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a city stay with a few areas for improvement.
