Disappointed and Frustrated – Not the Dreams Experience I Expected
I’ve stayed at Dreams Resorts before and had great experiences, but this location in Cabo was a major letdown. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill. They lost my luggage and somehow gave it to another guest. When I finally got it back, I thought things might improve—but they didn’t.
There was loud, constant construction going on right outside my room. No warning about this ahead of time. On top of that, the staff (with two exceptions) were rude, dismissive, and kept giving me the runaround any time I asked for help. The only bright spots were the bartender at the lobby and the man who helped me get my taxi—both were kind and actually seemed to care. I wish I had gotten their names because they were the only ones who made an effort.
The food was terrible—barely any variety, and what was available was just not good. The adult pool was gross—hot, with a greasy film across the top that made it feel unclean. The pool bars closed ridiculously early (around 4pm), and the staff working them acted like guests were a bother.
I expected so much more from a Hyatt Regency property. This trip felt more like a bad budget motel experience than a relaxing resort vacation. Sadly, I won’t be coming back to this location.
