What a disappointment. I thought it would be like the Planters Inn in South Carolina but the only thing they have in common is the name. The Savannah location was run down. 1 of the 2 elevators was not working. Towels were cheap and rough. The room smelled moldy and had a water stain on ceiling. The shower curtain was also moldy and the tub floor felt sandy on my feet. The staff was not super friendly like in other hotels in Savannah. One employee we asked for directions was too busy playing a game on his phone to make eye contact. The feeling I got from the staff, was, this is a paycheck and I'm going to do as little as I have to. There was no privacy sign available on the door either. This place is very run down and the staff is not a happy one, for that, I blame management, with the one exception of the man who helped with luggage upon departure, he had great customer service. Perhaps he should be the manager and show the others they are in a customer service business. I don't recommend this place, unless you like a surly staff, moldy room and towels I wouldn't use on my dog. I give it a no stars, if it was available.
