The breakfast buffet was amazing and very friendly staff. We were disappointed with how dry the room was and limited walking area. The hotel is on top of a huge hill impossible to walk anywhere

The property is in a beautiful location with lovely views & easy access to beach walks & waterside promenade- ocean view rooms are special - there is nothing of attraction in the town of Shimoda - dilapidated but the surrounding areas within 5-10km distance are beautiful - breakfast is great, the hotel dinners are overpriced & average quality

The staff were very attentive and kind. The lady at the front desk let me check in half an hour early, which I really appreciated. The hotel itself is in good condition and has a beautiful garden facing the ocean. My room was spacious and comfortable; however, the one thing that disappointed me was the bathroom. It’s in need of renovation, with old tiles and a bathtub that had some stains.

Loved it a lot! Beautiful, family friendly and comfortable. People are fantastic. Only one thing is i hope the dining options would be more affordable. Close to the town and beach, has shuttle bu (Post it's schedule on the website)

The outside bath was wonderful and the area very clean. The room was quite large with a balcony and nice view.

The big sell here are the beautiful views and the refreshing outdoor hot spring tubs. The hotel itself is pretty tired though and the French style food managed to be both pretentious and tasteless and super pricey. Staff are great though. Very kind and helpful. And those views are just beautiful.
