The room overall was good. The window did leak water when it rained.

Check in was smooth and Sarah at reception is a treasure.

Nice place, staff are very nice and helpful.

Weak A/c and the bathrooms in the rooms are in need of a update, black mold, and old caulking around the tub, shower is rather high up meaning anyone barely can step out without the risk of a fall... they give you a gross bath mat which I wand most people would never use but they have done such great work with the lobby perhaps they should invest in the rooms too.

Staff were pleasant, lobby was homey, our room was clean but the mattress was awful! The hotel need to invest in new mattress, honestly i wish a brought my airbed.

Food very poor, breakfast in particular was most disappointing. The drinks were good. They have a really stupid system for breakfast where the bread for toasting (there’s a pastry but no croissants or anything like that!) is in the corner of the buffet so you have to almost rejoin the queue and block the area to get your bread toasted. That was very poor planning. In the bathroom they have a sign about think of the future in using less water. But the tap dripped non-stop! They ask you to open the window to air the room. We tried but there was no catch on it. We asked a chambermaid to help and she apologised that it couldn’t be opened! It was boiling so we had to put on the air con. This worked well but when you can open a window it’s obviously easier and better for the environment. The chicken stir fry was given the thumbs up. The fish and chips is best avoided. Very expensive stay but if you can get it without breakfast do, it’s so disappointing. Oh, good Elemis toiletries. But the suites are in need of some TLC: scuffed wood, stains on the carpet. The communal areas are very plush however.

Tragically there was major construction going on under our room beginning at 7:30am when I brought it to the front desk and manager they apologized but no alternative room, explanation or even a discount was offered. Honestly I would have checked out and gone somewhere else. I understand sometimes construction and maintenance can be out of your control but even moving our room would have been acceptable. Unfortunately the situation was handled poorly and for that I can’t recommend and for price paid I would expect a higher level experience.
