We recently stayed at Oaks Oasis Caloundra to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing, especially given we paid a large sum for our stay and dining.
On arrival, the 1-Bedroom Executive Rooms we booked for three adults only had queen beds. We were initially told we would need to pay extra per night for trundles, despite the room being advertised for three adults. Although the fee was eventually waived, it was not a great way to start our stay.
One of our family members was also given a key to an already occupied room, which is a serious privacy and security concern. Throughout the weekend we experienced multiple key card failures, confusion over prepaid breakfast (despite having confirmation), and poor communication regarding simple birthday gathering rules, even though all guests were paying resort guests.
For a family resort, we did not find the service welcoming or well organised. There were repeated administrative errors and unnecessary stress during what was meant to be a special celebration.
I have emailed management regarding these concerns and have not received a response in over two weeks. I would appreciate someone contacting me directly to discuss this matter.
