The room was spacious and very clean. The room and the hotel felt fresh. The hotel has a less "sophisticated" vibe than its sister property the Metterra but it was significantly cheaper.

Love staying at the Varscona when we're in Edmonton. :) The staff are wonderful, the rooms are super clean and comfortable, and it's so close to the great restaurants and bars on Whyte Ave.

Shower was gross and had mould all over it. Otherwise nice stay

there were multiple amenities i thought i had but was told wasnt apart of my booking. decently clean but saw a few stains on the beds and the walls and floors need to be deep cleaned.

Good hotel

We had booked a 2 double bed room. Two adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 12). It was our mistake that we thought it was 2 queen beds. It was not very comfortable for a family of 4 to sleep on 2 double beds, instead of 2 queen. It was admittedly our mistake on the booking, but they also do NOT have a room with 2 queen beds available. So, it probably is not as suitable for a family of 4 trying to stay in the same room.

Great stay. Location is perfect for exploring Whyte Ave. Limited hot water, but overall good stay.

I chose this hotel because it had a restaurant and my husband just had a cancer treatment. Unfortunately I didn’t know they were closed on a Monday. Breakfast this morning was tasty and good coffee.

The hotel has been renovated and is OK. The location for people who want to enjoy the very active night life on Whyte should stay here. It is just at the edge of the most active portion, so reasonably quiet but close enough to enjoy. The crowd at night is very young as you would expect. Good location to get to the downtown and many attractions beyond Whyte.
