Pestana is good, only thing i did not like about the rooms were the really high bath tub. you had to step up really high to get in and the door didn’t shut all the way so water got all over the floor. the couches in the rooms i was in were stained. other than this the hotel was fine.

Enjoyed our stay, would recommend

There was a major mistake in the booking at the hotel. I did 2 nights, 29/06 - 01/07 with Hotels.com but wanted to add an extra night for 28/06, I was guaranteed the same room with a sea view and wouldn't have to move for the 2nd part of the reservation. When we arrived there at night, there was no room. Reservations had sent an email to confirm so they were obliged to find us something, eventually after much a to do, we got into a room but then had to move out the next morning so it cut into having two full days there. I would like to give a 'shout out' to Mariane who was on the reception that night and moved 'hell & high water' to help us. She negotiated one night, compliments of the hotel so in the end, thanks to her, all worked out well.

A Deeply Disappointing Stay My experience at this hotel was abysmal from start to finish. The property was visibly neglected, with poor maintenance and a lack of care in both the rooms and common areas. To make matters worse, the staff were exceptionally rude, showing little regard for guests and opting to converse among themselves in Portuguese rather than assisting customers. The overall atmosphere was unwelcoming, and the service was non-existent. Particularly from Bernardo Deca she Latoya Silva. I left within 30mins of arriving. The experience spoilt the beginning of my 10 year wedding anniversary I would strongly advise against staying here.

Size amd cleanliness of room was good but very dated. Old mattress, old pillows, etc. Badly needs a makeover and maintenance of bathroom fixtures. Location was excellent. Fair value for the price we paid but still a little underwhelming for a Pestana property.

Beautiful place to stay , breakfast is great , staff are great and room is beautiful. Lots of thing to eat and close to the ocean/walking trail. Pool was open in the winter which is nice.

Able to walk to places easily

Recently stayed 7 nights with the wife for our 34th wedding anniversary. Overall stay 5.5 on 10. Front desk staff were friendly and accomodating, but few positive points after that. No bell hops or persons to help with luggage. Disappointed with the hotel itself. Outdated rooms with cheap cabinets and no coffee in room, very plain and unwelcoming. Kitchen sink leaked. I asked a maintenance worker to fix it (and take a look at the phone), he said to talk to front desk. Breakfast buffet was good with good service. Evening buffet for 30 euros was very underwhelming. Phone in the room, didn't work the entire stay. Pool area was from the 90s, many sun chairs were wornout and uncomfortable or were broken. The indoor pool is advertised as heated, both pools were not heated. On the web - Hotel description and pictures are deceptive. The entire property needs a big facelift. And the biggest disappointment was a 10 minute detour walk to get to the ocean, when you can get there in 1 minute, but the hotel blocked access to direct route. Would not stay here again for the money I paid.

Great place

I like the cleanliness I like the staff were very helpful

The staff was wonderful. Full buffet breakfast, with a wide variety of food. On site parking. Walking distance to many sites in Cascais, as well as the train station. Refrigerator and microwave, with basic kitchen utensils. Kettle can be obtained on request. The only negative was a sewer smell, however, we noticed this also when out walking so it may just be a city problem, not a hotel problem.

Great stay at the Pestana Cascais. Excellent staff and hotel and good breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

General condition of the room was shabby, mould in bathroom and stains on wall, safe was locked and inoperable, AC was told loud to keep on and sleep. Really disappointed considering the price and the fact it is advertised as a 4 star. Would not recommend or return.

Positives: nice staff, lovely swimming pool area, room was clean Negatives: outdated room, there was a kitchenette but it was a total waste of space as nothing was provided not even a kettle, overpriced drinks at the pool bar (€22 for double whiskey),

Most of the pictures online are very old. The rooms looked better before...they are basic, cheap, with badly fitting furniture. Very basic kitchenette with extremely stupid cupboard handles that make the fridge VERY awkward to open. Dining options are basically just a 30 euro buffet every night. There is a lack of attention to detail throughout. COVID notices still around from 3 years ago. Instructions on a safe that made no sense because they were from a previous model. The staff are nice and it is clean BUT the rooms are most definitely not sound proofed
