We really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Punta Cana! It’s a very family-friendly resort with lots of activities for kids and families.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The entertainment team spoke French, Spanish, and English, and we loved meeting guests from Europe, Canada, Central and South America — it made for such a fun and lively atmosphere.
We stayed in a standard (non-privileged) room, which was older and had some issues. There was a wad of hair in the shower, the bed broke the first night (quickly repaired), the door hinge came off, the TV didn’t work, and there were exposed wires above the bed. It didn’t ruin our trip, but I would definitely recommend booking a Privileged or newly renovated room if possible.
The beach was absolutely stunning — soft white sand, clear shallow water, a Blue Flag designation, and a lifeguard on duty. The pool was huge and never felt crowded, and we always found available chairs without having to save them early. The kids' pool and small slide were a huge hit!
The food was great with lots of variety — two buffets and several à la carte restaurants. Every meal we had was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout.
Overall, even with a few room hiccups, it was a fantastic, memorable family trip. We would absolutely recommend Catalonia Punta Cana for families looking for a relaxing beach vacation!
