overall very nice

The room and the bathroom was clean and had all the basics that we needed. The WiFi is not good, I got disconnected all the time. The staff gave the expected service but not more - as guest you get a better impression if you are met with a smile ..... The general impression was that the whole operation is a bit away from nowadays normal standards.

The room was spacious , clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The location is close to the train station and very well located for walking and exploring the city center.

Easy review, you get what you see on the picture. The hotel need to be refurbished but it’s clean and tidy.

Einfach toller Service, bin müde angekommen, dann bademantel bekommen für sauna und pool...perfekt...das Hotel ist etwas für Liebhaber von Labyrinths, aber es machte nichts aus...alles in allen, ich komme wieder.

A lovely clean hotel, it had all we needed for our stay, also very thoughtfully quipt. The breakfast was delicious. AC available as it was hot outside. Very friendly staff and it's suited in beautiful town walking distance to the stunning Laon cathedral. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Overall a good hotel. Only gripes were the bed mattress (springs could be felt) and no aircon in rooms (although a fan appeared on last day of stay). Staff were very helpful and couldn't have been more pleasant.

Very nicely upgraded hotel!

The receptionist Nina L. was very rude. I stayed there for two nights and every exchange with her was unpleasant. I wouldn’t book a room there again.

Good value and nice hotel close to main train station and old city. Blackout blinds were great, bed comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff friendly and helpful, although bar staff not very responsive or to hand. Pool nice but sauna not on.

The only concern I had was during check-in. My guest hadn't shown up when I was there to check in. They would not let me check-in until my partner arrived. I told them we would come by and make the covid test. But they made me wait almost 4 hours to check in. The other strange thing is how little time one gets to spend there. 1600 hrs check in time and 1100 hrs check out.. but other than that, spectacular facilities and delicious breakfast.

Great position just a short walk from central station. A bit small rooms but comfy beds. Very nice and clean pool and sauna. Area full of restaurants.

Close proximity to Old Town, safe area, good breakfast

The rooms were very outdated, nothing like the pictures. The windows let in a ton of cold air and we're right by the head of the bed, so I kept waking up with a sore throat. It was also quite lound. Not sure how they can say those rooms were soundproof. The people in the restaurant weren't very friendly either. It is at least next to the train station.

Construction just outside our window was loud and woke us up every morning.

In the 1980’s when this hotel was last refurbished, standards were not so high. It needs overhauling really desperately. Only soap out of a cheap dispenser, no shampoo/conditioner/moisturiser. VERY noisy as is located next to a road and a railway. Not cheap!
