Beautiful hotel, clean and comfortable. Food very good, excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend

This hotel is obviously struggling and standards are slipping and corners being cut which is a shame as the building is a lovely example of victorian gothic.

It's OK. The hotel looks better on the outside than on the inside. Sauna/Steam room/Swimming pool are good. Rooms a bit dirty and outdated. No aircon.

Room was in a state of disrepair. Shower, paint lifting off the walls. But the restaurant bars and lobby were in great condition.

A stunning property and so well kept. All staff we encountered were very helpful and a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice too. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely relaxing stay, only negative is spa / gym is only 8-8

Staff were lovely and helpful. Facilities fantastic. Room was ok. Did feel that it needed carpet cleaned better, as its a dog friendly room. Which we found did have old dog hair still embedded in carpet fibres. Not disgustingly dirty, but caused alleges with us.

Great hotel in gorgeous setting, clean sumple rooms - very quiet - nice simple food in the bar, drinks on the terrace a bonus in sunny weather - nice pool and sauna area ( but not relaxing or romantic as full of kiddies making a racket - maybe consider an adult only hour to end the day ? )

Great facilities, and a fantastic breakfast experience

Beautiful old main building. Bedroom comfortable but the bathroom could have been better maintained. Breakfast was excellent with good quality food but the breakfast room is very dark. On Expedia it said our booking included dinner but it was only a £30 allowance. The sea food was perfectly cooked but meat courses were average. The place was overrun with weddings which blocked ac ess to the bar on occasion. The swimming pool was lovely.
