The hotel was in a good location and pleasantly appointed, however the carpets in the hallways have several major worn spots and need replacement / repaired. If you happen to get room 316 please note, if you are a large person the washroom is difficult to enter. The door hits the toilet and only can be opened at most 2/3rds of the way. This made for a difficult entry and could be a potential safety hazard. For example if you had a nedical episode while on the toilet no one would be able to enter and assist. Major failing marks for this.

Breakfast had good variation, but the letdown was the pool only being available one day of 3 of the days I was there for maintenance.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfast available at a cost

AC didn’t work on our room which was the main reason we left another hotel. The man at the front desk was a bit aloof and I had to ask 3 times for help, and he finally got us another room. No help was provided for our move and we’re older patrons. We had to move ourselves including 2 sets of stairs being the only access to the new room. Close to restaurants and transportation and in a safe area. Beds comfortable. Carpet on halls a bit worn. Nice lobby for an inner city hotel.

Comfortable suite, excellent location to the old town, shopping, restaurants and the Rhine!

Room was clean but had issues - lights that did not work, shower doors did not completely.

Suite was very clean and comfortable. Location was easily walkable to old town Basel. Viking rep was on site. Would definitely recommend!

Very courteous staff, nice clean room with a comfortable bed, quiet and convenient, and the breakfast was wonderful. I had a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend the Radisson Blu. Additionally, the restaurant is very nice and open late. Wonderful atmosphere and the food is beautifully presented. The chef takes great pride in showcasing his artistic talent. I had arrived late the first night and the charcuterie board was the perfect meal.

Great location in the centre of Basel, not far from the main train station. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms clean and tidy. Shower a bit disappointing and the toiletries need a bit of upgrading.

Clean great location walkable

The heat didn’t work in the first room I was issued on 1st floor. And it didn’t work in the 2nd room issued on the 6th floor. Finally, the 3rd room, also on the 6th floor, worked. The front desk did everything they could to help, so I appreciate that. It was okay to stay in for a brief stay. Close to trains and to get to city center.

The reception was extremely warm and friendly - helped us with an early check in and provided guidance to the city. I will stay here again when I am back.

Excellent service and pool area

1- early check in approved but room was not ready until 2 hours later. Then hotel tried to charge me for the early check in anyways. 2 - dirty appearing duvet (visible stains and dirt) 3 - chemical smell in room that was a mixture of soap / bleach 4 - sewer like smell in elevator waiting area 5 - dirty coffee maker in room
