I recently stayed at the Wyndham Garden Duesseldorf Mettmann. Overall, the stay was just okay, but it has some notable drawbacks. The hotel is located quite far away from the main city center, so keep that in mind if you are looking to explore Duesseldorf easily. Additionally, the rooms themselves felt tiny and had a bit of an old-fashioned, dated decor that could use a modern update. Space can be a tight squeeze if you have much luggage. It works fine as a basic, quiet stopover if you just need a bed for the night, but it is not ideal if you want to be close to the action or expect modern, spacious accommodations.

What kind of place are you running? It seems that guest are just an annoying factor and you can't wait to see them go. We came here last night looking forward to a nice stay. We came to the dining room at 8 o'clock and wanted something to drink. But it looked like the staff spent more time talking to each other than they did taking orders. And when they finally came we were almost finished eating. Smiles are apparently not something you practice in your hotel. I felt not welcome. So I am curious why do you bother to keep this hotel open when you don't like to have guests? The food was good. The room had a window that could not close entirely. If you plan on staying in this hotel. Then expect no service no smiles. I have stayed in many hotels but this hotel is without a doubt the hotel with the lowest service ever. The only person that was nice and smiling was the guy with a ponytail at the reception yesterday evening. Give him a big raise he did a great job. But the rest should look up the word service. Apparently they don't know the meaning of that word.

We loved this place, the reviews are too negative. The man on reception was very welcoming and friendly, car park was free, and plenty of smoking areas outside. The room was small and old, but clean and fine! We like older places! Not the clinical modern style which we find dull and boring. The place has some character/feeling. Would like to come back here and stay again. As runners, we loved some of the running pathways around the area and fields nearby. Nice place.

I genuinely don't understand the low rating. We stayed here for a couple of nights to attend an event in Essen, so granted we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Our room was fairly small and the lighting was quite dim. However, the value for money is absolutely incredible. There was 24/7 reception and we didn't have issues speaking English. The breakfast wasn't incredible but had the basics - eggs, bacon, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries, etc. I think it is absolutely worth the price.

I will start my review with the breakfast and service. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I can give 10 out of 5 :) amazing and beautiful for the Breakfast. It has a great parking place. The location was also great. 24/7 front lobby is available.
