Beautiful boutique hotel... gorgeous old elevator, nice staff, INCREDIBLE SHOWER. Maybe the best I've ever been in. Great restaurants nearby... my only warning is that walking to the port or the old city center you have to go through some real rough looking areas. First time I was ever scared in Italy. That was a bummer.

Great location especially if you're planning on using the Genoa Principale train station. Property shares amenities with the hotel next door and the lobby bar, lounge area and terrace are beautiful. Parking is a bit tricky but best to pay the small premium on hotel valet if you have a car. Old school elevator is great! Didn't get a chance to use the spa but would definitely stay there again if in Genoa. Best cappuccino and breakfast pannino is at the stand across from the train station and best apperitivo & snacks was at Bar delle Vigne with locals after work. Genoa was grittier than we thought but loved it especially when taking a wrong turn into their red light district. Great start to visiting the Italian & French riviera.

As noted by other travelers, beware if booking at Hotel Continental, do not expect the room you booked. I booked the Executive Room and by the pictures, I was expecting a nice room view and spacious bathroom. Then the day before check-in, I got an « upgrade » to Grand Savoia next door. As part of my trip research I did see this place having higher nightly rates. So I was likely switched to equivalent price, but this was definitely a downgrade. The room had no view and bathroom was cramped for me. And there was no shower curtain, so the water splashed everywhere. I wished there were more built in shelving to organize. Otherwise the hotel was nice and breakfast was just okay. The location is convenient next to a train station and walkable to old town. Just don’t expect the room you booked.

Tutto perfetto.

The location was very convenient. Train station is across the street and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. This hotel is connected to the bigger main hotel which is nicer but quite a bit more expensive. That's where the restaurant and other facilities are located.

One of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The location is excellent; about 5 minutes walk from train station and very quiet! The lobby/lounge is like stepping back in time to classy 40’s. Excellent restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Our room was lovely; comfortable bed, sheets and fabulous towels. We also had a massage when we first arrived being we had been traveling prior to Genoa and I had an excellent lymphatic drainage massage. Fantastic! Trains took us to Rapello for a boat tour to less traveled Italian Riviera villages. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!

Enjoyed every aspect of this hotel, it was in the most convenient location for me as a cruise passenger, only a mile from the port. The area was safe and had shops and lovely restaurants right outside the front door. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed only one night before a cruise. Good location next to the main station and buses. Amazing old style lift. Room was great and loved the hanging hot air balloons. Shower was amazing and bed was comfy after a long day travelling and sightseeing. Even though it seems close we got a cab to the cruise terminal organised by reception when we checked out, it arrived within 2 minutes and took us straight to luggage drop off which was the best choice.

Our stay was fantastic! The parking process was easy, they had reserved spots for check-in right outside the front doors. Once checked in, they had a valet come get our car and park it for a fee, definitely worth it! The hotel is older, but modernized and very clean. Fantastic location! A few minute walk from the harbour and lots to see on the street it is located. Lots of restaurants nearby!

Check in with Gabriel was excellent but when transferred to Savoia the woman checking us in was negative and told me that Gabriel did not tell us we had free breakfast which he did and we did after going rounds with her and her calling others to protect her charging for breakfast. Not a good start at a 5 star property.

The way Geneo was marketed and the reality are two completely different things. The area around the hotel is extremely dangerous and filthy. They advertise free parking and that is not true. We were nervous to be outside after dark. There is no way I would ever return.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to this Hilton collection property, as I originally booked at the hotel navy door. From the beginning to the end of my stay, the staff was wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful and has an antique feel. Lots of places to sit in quiet. The gym was really nice and I appreciate that they had bottled water for gym users! Breakfast was very good, lots of choices. The focaccia was amazing. I'm happy that they had American breakfast choices as well. The location is so convenient, and it is located next to Principe Station and many shops like pharmacy and delicious restaurants. I only was able to stay in Genoa two nights because of a cruise, but I hope to return someday and will definitely book with this hotel again!

I love this hotel. I’ve stayed here before. I stayed in a spacious executive double room on the corner of the hotel with a view of the city. The staff were great, especially Aurora. The Continental’s sister hotel is the Grand Savoy next door. I enjoyed the best Negroni I ever had at the Savoy’s elegant bar. I also relaxed outside on the terrace connecting both properties. I can’t wait to return to Genoa and this wonderful hotel.

Good location since it’s just 2 minutes walk from the station, the building is an antique especially the lift with manual sliding doors 😀.Room is spacious and clean. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to town center and the museums. Enjoy the stay and properly will stay again next Genova trip.

Best breakfast buffet we've had in Europe. The whole facility was extremely clean and the spa was wonderful after a long day of sightseeing. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating to our requests, such as a late check out. It was a wonderful stay.
