Try to stay away! We booked 13 days in advance by hotels.com. Att arrival there was No room for us. They booked us instead to a local hotel for the same price -a room that 50% less cost, with No view to a terrible location. We had No choise But to spend Only a night there. They refuse to give a compensation. They don’t speak english and they email in italian, although We asked 3 times. If You want to visit, call them in advance. It is the first time that this kind of scam happens to us. We booked the superior room with Etna view for 100€ and We got for the same price a basement room with No view. The hotel stuff behavior was unacceptable.

Fantastic old world charm. Loved breakfast served on the roof looking at Mt Etna. Staff are lovely. Room quirky old world. Loved it loved it. I’m gluten free and they were very accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat. I stayed Monday to Friday. As this hotel is geared towards weddings it may be a different experience at weekends. My only negative is I got bit a lot by the pool area where it is very green. Management need to get the greenery sprayed. Other than that 5 stars. (You need a car too)

Old fashioned and too remote. Too far from city centre. TV only had English news channel.

A lovely hotel with a slightly faded grandeur that adds to its charm. Gorgeous grounds & pool area & the building & surroundings are very pretty. The bedroom was comfortable & immaculate with an amazing view of Etna from the balcony. The breakfast room also has a panoramic view of Etna. Perfect for a 2 night stay to visit Etna South (20 min drive) and Benanti vineyard (5 min drive) both of which are highly recommended. Helpful & friendly staff too.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. As you enter the gates you cannot fail to be impressed with the sight that awaits you. The gardens wrap around the hotel and provide quiet secluded corners with plenty of seating. The pool is an added bonus. The rooms were delightful, such a change from the clean cut lines and furniture of modern hotels. it all added to the holiday experience.

Efficient check in. Restaurant only had set menu at about €35- didn't look very good and as we had no car we had quite a walk to a shopping centre about 1.5 k's on a very narrow road which was too dangerous to walk at night due to traffic. Pool area and bedroom very clean and comfortable. View of Mt Etna was lovely. Breakfast was ok, but very little fresh food - pre bought cakes and pastries were there throughout our stay - not renewed. A function was held throughout the grounds making it unusable for guests. This would have been ok except we were not forewarned. We could have made plans to go elsewhere if we had known. Still, it was very reasonably priced! Advice: if you stay here make sure you have a car!

Good choice for trips to Etna, but be aware that it is effectively in the middle of nowhere (an area full of shopping centers and malls)

Charming hotel built at the beginning of the last century, and furnished with antiques. Free parking, quick checkin, and friendly staff. Good location if you're coming from/going to the airport, sightseeing Mt. Etna, or shopping in Taormina. The included breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about, but it's all made up by the beautiful breakfast area on the rooftop. There are also various spacious reading rooms, and not least of all, free WiFi everywhere.

We had a couple of nights here in order to see Mt Etna so it was a perfect location. It was very pleasant to sit round the pool in the afternoon, although make sure you have insect repellant, and dinner in the hotel was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for our last night as it was fairly close to the airport but it still took an hour to drive there in rush hour traffic. The staff did warn us about that. We had a lovely room with a balcony and view of Etna. We had the €35 set evening meal which was very nice. Our Satnav took us right there, using the address.

Great stay. Concierge very helpful. It was only a 15 minute drive to the airport, which made it convenient for our 6:15 a.m. flight. The restaurant staff at dinner were not friendly or attentive. Pasta was good but meat overcooked.
