The front desk staff were very helpful and getting as organized to make the best use of our time. I love the property. I love the city and I plan to go back for a trip in February.

This was a lovely hotel in a lovely location. Great staff. I would give it five stars but it was only slightly let down by two things: a) The hotel is RIGHT on the main square of old-town Merida. A great location for sure but there is quite a bit of noise associated with the opening and closing of the bars on the square b) I’m not sure if it was just my room but my bathroom had VERY smelly drains. It’s an old historic building I know but….Someone sensitive might need to change rooms. I did my best to ignore it.

What a gem!! Would love to have known about this place before - we would have stayed several more days. Excellent area around hotel with ancient Roman ruins close by. Parking is a challenge unless you use their valet service which I highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful, the room was very comfortable with bath sheets and a large well equipped bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful in English. The location is superb. We used the car valet for parking at a cost of 25 euro - we were told to give 30 minutes notice when we were ready for it. It took them 1 hour 10 minutes to bring us the car from the time I gave notice which meant we had a late start to our day of travel. This put a damper on our opinion of the hotel

While this hotel is beautiful and nicely located, we were given a room on the 1st floor, and upon entering the room, I noticed an extremely unpleasant noise and vibration inside the bathroom. It feels like there is a ventilation system or something similar behind that wall. As this did not seem to be the case in the bedroom area, we ignored this and went out for dinner. Upon returning to the hotel, we noticed an unpleasant smell inside the room, but it was already kind of late, so we decided to just sleep it off. I woke up around 3 a.m. with an intolerable , putrid sewage smell overtaking the room, the kind of smell that burns your eyes, and I noticed the noisy ventilation system was turned off (I guess they shut it down after 11 p.m. or midnight) and this horrific smell persisted for another 2-3 hours. Yes, I could have gone to the reception to request a room change , but at 3 a.m. it is a major hassle to pack up, get dressed, and move to another room. I cannot imagine I'm the first person ever to notice the entire room vibrating or the horrific putrid sewage smell, so the hotel must be aware of this problem but keeps offering this room to guests.

Front desk staff always helpful; in fact a person helped us with our luggage at check in. Valet parking was perfect for us and car brought back at time promised. Breakfast buffet is a must. The room was roomy and well appointed. Easily the best place we stayed at during 3 weeks in the Iberian peninsula.

Loved the hotel, its proximity to everything that Mérida has and my room on the front, except that they clean the square at 06:30 in the morning, so if your on the front, be prepared to be woken up. I thought the breakfast was poor, too many people, no eggs for fifteen minutes and only one coffee machine, very disappointing.

The welcome desk staff was fantastic. Told us that the museum was only open on Sunday and as we were leaving on Tuesday so if we wanted to see it we should go there first. Absolutely the most helpful advice we got. We loved our room and the location. Absolutely a fantastic hotel. Highly recommend it. Cannot say anything bad about it.

A great choice for exploring Merida. It’s not quite the 5 star hotel it’s listed as on some sites, but it is still excellent. Nice big rooms with character and good bathrooms. The pool is lovely (it’s also green: perfectly safe and lots of people were in it, but it was green). The bar isn’t a bar - it’s a cafe and it’s not open that late (for Spain) but that doesn’t really matter a the square out front has loads of bars. Stored my luggage on check out fine. Online check in didn’t work but front desk were good/quick. 15 minutes walk from bus station, 10 from train station, easy walk to the Roman theatre and other sites.
