Good

Room very dark due to poor lighting. Had chicken red Thai curry in the restaurant however there was large chucks of aubergine which were quite bitter. I have never had a Thai dish with that and wasn’t expecting it. There was an odour from the floor too which wasn’t pleasant.

Room waa large and very clean. Given all the details of the hotel by the check-in guy.

Staff courteous, room clean, however someone in roim i was allocated when i checked in, TV remote didnt work byt was replaced, key didnt work on 2nd night gad to go back to reception get re cut. Food was excellent

Breakfast was very good. Rooms are a little dated & have minimal amenities. Very dark decor in halls etc

breakfast was excellent as was everything else.

Nice hotel, nice staff. €179 room only on a Monday night in Portlaoise is ridiculous though.

Great staff, good breakfast, single bed like wimpy foam but double bed good.

It all looks ok from the lobby but our room was not nice. Overlooking the roof and the railway line it had no air con and was super hot at night. The bathroom was so brightly lit it was like a torture chamber in Guantanamo Bay. No toilet brush 😱 and no working extractor fan. the walls were paper thin so we heard everything when our neighbours had 3am visitors. The restaurant was fully booked but in the end they relented and let us eat in the bar. The food was ok actually and the staff were sweet. The gym didn’t open until 8.30am in the morning. So not able to use it.

Suite was amazing although don’t think I’d stay in the normal rooms, my friends didn’t have AC rooms were okay. Suite was stunning!!

Good property with good day staff but night staff unwelcoming and abrupt.

WiFi not working, apparently they have one box to serve entire hotel, bar and restaurant. This means that Wi Fi is very poor or non existent in bedroom TV poor. Couldn’t disable subtitles and would intermittently increase in sound volume. Outside seating area at front of hotel filthy before lunch, clearly not cleaned since night before

Hotel was good, terrible nights sleep being kept awake by other people at the hotel who decided to have conversations or talk on mobile phone between 11.30 and 3.30am, then to top it off no water when I needed a shower at 6.30am. Not the best experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Midland Park Hotel. Staff were very helpful, welcoming and polite. Fantastic breakfast and we were very impressed with the comfortable accommodation.

Went with husband for a concert. Lovely clean hotel will definitely be back with the kids
