Our room was comfortable and warm. The neighbourhood has a few characters, best to avoid, as the area absorbs people from all over the world and adjusts accordingly.

Good hotel, gym disappointed

We had a fantastic stay! Everything about the hotel was great. Excellent customer service and the breakfast buffet was really good. Peter was so friendly and attentive to whatever we needed while we ate. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future.

Wonderful staff friendly, location very convenient for train travel

The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the central railway station along the road that passes outside the main entrance. My room was very spacious and overlooked a side street so was incredibly quiet for a location so close to the train station. The breakfast was well stocked and offered a good choice for all diets. I would happily stay there again.

Hotel was close to train station and subway

Good stay - hotel is very well situated between 2 Underground stops which get you directly into city centre, exhibition centre Messehalle and the airport! My room was big and comfortable. Only downside is that at breakfast two days running it felt that they did not replace the cooked food quick enough as I could not get my selection of scrambled eggs.

Hotel is good but location is not! A lot of homeless people and junkies doing drugs in the middle of the street. I was affraid of walking back to the hotel especially in the evening. I would have chosen a different hotel for sure if people would have been tell this in the reviews. Drugs were a well kept secret and I don t understand why!

Great hotel close to central station. Housekeeping staff were accommodating with our requests. Hotel is handy for Hamburg but the immediate area did feel a bit unsafe. Bed comfortable and clean room. Slightly outdated but overall nice presentation.

When I am in Hamburg, I enjoy staying at the Best Western Plus Hotel St. Raphael. It is a wonderful boutique style hotel in the City Center and walking distance to the Main Train Station and all the shops.
