Hotel is very “ lipstick on a pig”. They’ve painted and tried to cover up a very dated and damaged property rather than actually making updates so on the surface it seems okay but you do not have to look hard to see the rough shape things are in. The elevator is incredibly glitchy, moving before the door shuts all the way, buttons not working etc. The thermostat in room seemed decorative and didn’t seem to effect unit which was in a closet of the main bedroom and insanely loud and rattly every time it kicked on. Our room was on the other side of the elevators and traffic, along with the dinging of elevator was loud at all hours. We never received fresh towels on our 3 day stay despite calling the front desk and requesting them and being told they’d be sent up. Dated televisions with no WiFi capabilities. The sleeper sofa in our suite was so horrible we just had to sleep on the couch rather than use the bed feature so we had to adjust our sleeping arrangements. The shower did not drain when using so you had to stand in ankle deep water. Dining area for breakfast was very nice and breakfast selection was good. Pool seemed clean enough and was in decent shape. Overall, this is not the typical experience we have had at many other holiday inn locations. This facility needs a lot of love to get up to par……

I usually choose Holiday Inn Express because they’re reliable, but this location was a major disappointment. While the location is convenient and prices weren’t bad, the condition of our room was completely unacceptable. When we pulled out the sofa bed, we found extensive black mold under the pullout mattress. While I can understand if an unused mattress had moisture damage over time, what is inexcusable is the fact that we also found mold on one of the comforters on the queen bed. That indicates complacency on the part of hotel staff and a serious lapse in cleanliness. A room in this condition should never have been rented out. The bathroom was also in poor shape: the shower leaked water all over the floor, there was visible rot on the bathroom door, the bathtub was dented, and the drain was heavily corroded (photos attached). Breakfast was well stocked, but the food quality was disappointing — cheap cinnamon rolls, powdered eggs, and not enough fresh fruit options. The pancake machine (the one thing our kids were most excited about) was broken. On a positive note, the outdoor pools and Jacuzzi were pleasant, and my kids enjoyed swimming for hours. The pool seemed heated (maybe from the Florida heat), which was nice. Unfortunately, the pool deck was littered with empty beer cans and smelled strongly of beer, which made the environment feel neglected. Additionally, some staff members had limited English skills, which created barriers when we tried to get problems addressed. While they were polite, communication gaps made it difficult to resolve issues effectively. Overall, this was a 1-star experience. Mold in the room, poor upkeep, and lack of cleanliness are unacceptable. I will not be staying at this location again, and I recommend that IHG take a serious look at management and maintenance practices here.

Overall, this is a decent hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the staff was friendly. The free breakfast is a nice plus. That said, there are a few things that could be improved: The ice machine on the ground floor was broken for several days. Breakfast was a bit limited on Saturday morning — for example, yogurt wasn’t available until around 10 a.m., right when breakfast ends. Maybe just stock a bit more? The bathtub didn’t look great, kind of like the coating was peeling off. We also had an issue with the toilet in the evening — it wouldn’t flush, and the water kept rising toward the edge. I reported it, but they didn’t have another room available, and no one could come fix it until the next day. Their solution? They handed me a plunger and a bucket and wished me good luck… Kind of strange to have to deal with that yourself as a guest.

Checked in, went to our room and our little boy went to pull out the couch bed. It had forensics all over the mattress. So he had to sleep in one of the beds with his sister. We assumed the sheets and comforter were clean, we'll when kids sleep they toss and turn. The next morning my son said ewwww. The bottom of the comforter had forensics on it too with mold. Nasty! The shower was gross, the tub leaked and has low spots. Wet rot on the door frame from the water. The carpet also had what appeared to be doo doo stains between the casting couch bed and wall and there was what appeared to be love explosion on the desk. The towels smelled too. We didn't even eat the breakfast just to be safe.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. From the internet it looked newer than when you pull up to the hotel. The room was old, a big stain on carpet, and bathtub looked ancient. They did clean my room after the first night with fresh towels etc. Last night was the worst. A group that was staying at the hotel had a huge birthday party outside of my window. Kids yelling, screaming through early evening. Then came the loud music. The desk person was kind enough to tell them to stop. But it didn’t last long. They were back with the loud music til late that evening. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that would allow something like that to happen. Good luck.
