Very noisy you could hear everything in the upstairs room. Got in at 7:30 asked for a table for dinner and was told they finished early because they only had 9 people booked in for dinner so closed at 7pm :( supposed to be 9pm. Didn’t eat that night.

Lovely room staff friendly, food was basic but tasty. Paid extra for spa access but worth it for sauna steam room and swimming pool. Will definitely return.

Staff were unhelpful, had to pay extra for gym only for the staff member to start polishing everything. Asked staff member if I could book restaurant was told not if I hadn’t booked before stay - walked past it later on and the restaurant was not busy at all. Awful stay, cold they turn the heating off. Awful place

Have stayed at this amazing place before - a little further out than we wanted - but the price was worth it! Had a quiet 'basement room' for 2 nights. It was very clean and pleasant throughout and still had a window view to the ground level, which we weren't expecting. Warm, cosy and comfortable , plenty of plugs, tea/coffee facilities and hair dryer. Shower piping hot with plenty of complimentary products, clean towels and comfy bed. We tried the buffet breakfast for 1 morning - Set out well with an amazing choice of absolutely everything you could want with drinks included. The hotel was busy for a winter weekday but still managed to park ok in the disabled bays each time. Easy to 'get lost' and lift grumbles a lot - still haven't found the swimming pool/spa - or any signs for it in busy reception area? Didn't have a costume with me this time - but next time - and there will be a 'next time' - we will come prepared! p.s...I did leave my Voopoo vape on charge in my room - rang up about it but never heard any more....my charger and plug was with it...was it handed in?

Room was very poor, a basement room that had a rubbish tip directly outside the window. Very little space in the room, no wardrobe doors, tiny bathroom with paint flaking off. Wanted to use the pool that was highlighted on the hotel.com site. We could but had to pay £5pp to use it, that wasn’t stated on the booking site and was a big disappointment. Bar shut at 10.30, on a Saturday. Breakfast room was ridiculously small and just packed. Our table was tiny & we were packed in like sardines. Had a coffee and left. Just the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years. £156 was about £150 too much.

I stayed there from Tuesday the 20th January until the 23rd and my room was never cleaned, towels replaced etc.. I also expected as advertised that the hotel bar would be open from the outlined times - 3pm until 10pm - But on each day this was not the case. Opening after 6pm, closing around 9pm - And at times there would be a notice outlining the bar staff would be back shortly and on Wednesday and Thursday especially the staff were gone for over 30-45mins. Not the greatest customer service and I did outline my concerns and I was advised it would be resolved the next day, but this did not happen. I would expect a refund or some sort of compensation for this poor service. Regards Mark

Quirky dinner service where you had to buy a ticket before you went to the restaurant. Main issue was that reception didn't tell oyu any of this on check-in as if this was a normal thing. It isn't.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was also excellent. The meal was amazingly priced for 3 courses and the chief made the pudding from scratch. I would absolutely go back again and even if we disnt stay the night i could eat the chiefs food all day long every day

Room was nice altho a little dated and only one plug socket? Two twin beds pushed together which wasn't very comfortable, a regular double bed would have been better. Hotel itself is beautiful, as are the grounds. Paid for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was adequate but don't waste your time with the dinner, it was inedible, I dont know what they were thinking with that food. And you also have to pay to use the pool, the only hotel I've stayed in that charges you to use the pool. Overall if I wanted a quiet night away and the price was right I would stay again, however, I wouldn't pay for the food, just the room.

Because of the festive season, but their hospitality was exceptional. Christmas card and a box of short bread and fudge were in our room. Christmas crackers on our dining table. We had really good time. One thing expedia web site should clearly mention that this hotel charge each time us when use swimming pool and gym. We did not know that until we visit the facility.
