The hotel was in an excellent location as it was a short walk to the centre of town and there was a bus stop nearby for the train station. There were two cafes for breakfast and a very nice restaurant nearby which we found very convenient. The rooms were traditional, perhaps a bit dated but very clean and we had a lovely view of the canal from the bedroom and the bathroom. The staff were very polite and helpful. They provided us with extra free bottles of water as it was extremely hot when we were there and gave us helpful advice about directions to tourist sights.

We loved this older boutique hotel. The hotel is a great location. Bus near by, restaurants as well and on the canal. The staff is very helpful and even has a nice sitting area with a small bar.

The hotel was in a fantastic location. It was beautiful. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The AC worked very well. Highly recommend!

The hotel is very well located, everything is just steps away. The staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and totally worth it! However, I’m taking out a star because the hotel is no small kids friendly. There were stairs to enter to the hotel and stairs to go to the dining room so lifting a stroller was not comfortable.

I had booked a suite and it was very big. It had a living area with 3 windows that o looked the canal. Two separate bedrooms and a large bathroom. We did not have breakfast there so cannot comment on that. The staff was exceptional. We just loved it there. I travelled to 8 different hotels with my daughter in our 28 day trip and we both agreed that it was our favourite hotel. It has so much character. And it was very quiet. Only thing was if someone with mobility issues goes there that there are a lot of stairs. They do have an elevator but to get to our suite we still had to go up some stairs which was not an issue for us but could be for some. Other than that it was absolutely perfect.

We had a lovely stay for 4 nights in Isabella suite (room 36) which was a relaxing space to spend time. The hotel location is excellent for seeing all that Bruges has to offer. The property was clean and well maintained. The only slight downside was that the Breakfast area could get busy and not sure we got value for money each morning (unless you start early on the Prosecco that is on offer!). Overall a great find.

The garden room is excellent. Great location away from the main plaza but still close enough to enjoy all of Bruges

Great location, air conditioning worked well, and water was delivered to the room each day. The room was very clean and refreshed daily. The bathroom smelled a little musty but overall I would recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was wonderful

We initially had a nice stay here, but ended up with bed bug bites (bites take a day or so to show up, so we had left already). If you’ve never had bed bugs before, reactions vary from person to person, but I ended up in the ER. When we reached out to the hotel letting them know about the bed bugs (room 1), we never got a response. Otherwise, staff was not friendly at check-in, location was great, room was spacious. Shower in bathroom was uncomfortable, towels sparse, bed was lumpy. Beware of this hotel, as they don’t seem to care if their visitors get bed bugs.

This was a fabulous hotel! The history and decor was absolutely marvelous. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was in a great location, walkable to restaurants and the market square. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bruges.

We loved this hotel. The room was large and on the same floor as the reception so it was easy for us to bring in our luggage, we had a real bathtub that worked - as opposed to some of our other hotels where the bathtub did not work - the staff was helpful, the place was charming and in Bruges the location was just great. You can walk anywhere in Bruges so this was a good place to spring from. It was quiet, the bed was great. All good things to say about this one!

Rooms were unique and comfortable. Had a great view of the canal.
