Whole place smelled like stale cigarettes. Good location but don't recommend

The room was filthy. There was visible dirt and grime throughout, the bathroom sink and shower were dirty, and when I pulled back the sheets, I found what appeared to be bed bugs. There was absolutely no way my children and I could stay in that room. I immediately contacted the front desk and was told to contact Expedia. Based on my conversations with both the hotel and Expedia that night, I understood that I would be charged for the first night but refunded for the remaining unused nights. Unfortunately, after leaving the property, I lost cell service and was unable to continue the chat with Expedia. The most upsetting part was that I was prepared to sleep in my vehicle with my two children because I felt that was safer than staying in the room we had been assigned. I have photographs documenting the condition of the room and have filed a complaint with the appropriate health authorities. My advice to anyone considering this hotel is to look carefully at recent reviews and not rely solely on the photos in the listing. In my experience, the property I arrived at did not accurately reflect what was advertised.

NO HEAT. NO HOT WATER. Was told by front desk that the heat is turned off in the summer. But it snowed last night and my room is freezing. No hot water. I was told that lots of rooms having showers so it must have run out. I have called t

Cheaply done. Linoleum in the showers. White silicone on wood, and biege walls. A little thought and a bit of care could of made a cheap fix not look sloppy. But no care was taken, and it looked trashy.

Super sufficient budget hotel. The view of the river and the mountains makes up for the aging building. The staff was great--very helpful, polite and responsive.

Unique and charming. Close to downtown and the river.

Parking is limited. The room was older which is fine, but it was not cleaned properly. Also note the hotel website claims they offer breakfast during the summer season. This is not true.

Very, very basic. Inexpensive and good location but an old, tired facility.

It’s an old motel and it shows. The room smelled of stale tobacco smoke. That’s a big turn off for me.

This property needs some major upgrades. The bathroom especially needs to be renovated. The drain in the sink and tub were both rusty. The water took forever to drain from the tub because it was clogged with hair. I could see the hair in the drain but wasn't doing their job for them without rubber gloves. There was mold around the tub surround and cracked silicone. The towels and wash cloths were small and thin. The sleeping area was better but the curtains also need to be replaced. The king size bed was good and linen clean. Pillows were also good. They were larger body pillows. The pictures on Hotel.com are deceptive.

I'm afraid I cannot recommend this hotel. First, the WiFi is NOT secure, so no traveler is safe using the network to check a bank balance, for instance. Second, although my room did have (as advertised) TV, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot, nothing but the TV and fridge were plugged in BECAUSE THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH OUTLETS TO ACCOMMODATE THE REST. The cable to the cable TV box was shredded and not able to be attached to the wall. There was also no outlet for a computer or a phone charger at the desk, although there was an outlet in a bare corner where I ended up setting my phone on the floor with a charging cord. Furthermore, the hotel is located in a part of town where drunk people walk around shouting at all hours, and when I went to the parking lot to get something from my car (middle of the day) a small crowd of them followed me from under the hotel's roof overhang to ask if I had a cigarette and to offer me whiskey from a Sprite bottle. I wish I had stayed at a chain hotel.

The smelliest room I have ever stayed in. Bar near by has lots of people very drunk near the hotel, parking wasn't guaranteed. Poor communication about staying with pets and length of stay with them

Beautiful location and decently clean. The view from the window facing the river was so gorgeous. The beds were not the most comfortable but the sheets were clean and neat. With no air conditioning it does tend to get pretty warm if you are staying in the summer even with the window open. Unfortunately you can hear a lot from other rooms around you as well as if anyone walks through the halls. We stayed in a room on the second floor of this two floor hotel and somehow it sounded like there were people above us sometimes. The sushi restaurant attached is super convenient and very delicious. Unfortunately we had to push a little to get full room service as when we asked the first time all they did was give us new towels but after finally getting full room service the room was nice and tidy. The fridge keeps things very nice and cold with a small freezer which was a nice surprise. Staff was kind and helpful. Overall a nice place to stay with nice looking rooms in a beautiful location with trails, paths, parks, stores, and museums close by. Would definitely stay there again.

The building is in a good location. It's definitely very dated. Staff were great. Our big issue was that the room was incredibly hot. There is no a/c. The window opens, but the curtains block all the air that comes in.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I felt unsafe! The beds weren’t meant for sleeping if you get my meaning. Also no air conditioning. A real dive. Tuck your head and run!

The location of this hotel is ideal. The state of disrepair that it is in makes it a poor choice to return to. From holes in walls, to evidence of smoking in the room, to a broken entrance door, it is not a welcoming place. The staff were courteous and helpful, but the building maintenance has been neglected. It is disappointing to see a place that there is no pride left.
