The hotel suited our needs for this holiday, as we were visiting friends in the area, As we were only staying a few days, it was in a good location, close to restaurants and shops, rooms a bit dated but clean, Breakfast was ok, Check-in was quick and easy,

Staff were excellent. Check in smooth. A problem with the AC in the room not working was delt with very promptly. Comfortable room and very close to the main bus route.

Clean, basic room with ensuite bathroom. Generally quiet in the room. There were some tv channels in English. Good location to access local amenities at 'Ferries' by foot or at Valletta by bus.

Great location but needs an upgrade. Bedding was clean but bathroom needed a deep clean - was superficially clean but mould around shower. It’s an old building and smells damp but I suspect that is the same of many on that stretch of road. We spent very little time in the hotel so would use it again as it is such a good price

The hotel is perfectly situated for access to all areas of the island via public transport which is cheap and reliable. The hotel itself is rather tired and the breakfast is quite basic, quite disappointed that no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. The hot food at breakfast was at best luke warm, although there was quite a good choice of other food. The shower was fantastic, plenty of hot and fast flowing water. Staff on the whole very friendly and helpful

The room was compact and the shower was even smaller. We we’ll not stay there again because even after we pay top price for a room when we requested to change rooms they almost made us pay more. I would not recommend this EUROPA HOTEL .

I didn’t expect it to perfect because of price but least the rooms must somehow be sound proof . You can all the sounds from the next rooms and hallways. Shower cubicle is way too small. I won’t recommend this hotel even it it’s a good location.

Less/damaged facilities provided for rooms

The Europa Hotel is in an excellent location on Sliema seafront and has a convenient drop off lane outside away from the busy main road. Popular beaches are a short walk away, as are some shops including chain stores. There are many atmospheric bars and restaurants on the promenade. The hotel staff are very welcoming and mostly very pleasant, this includes those on reception,in the restaurant and cleaning staff. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, the showers are excellent and free toiletries are provided. Breakfast too is very good with standard hot and cold offerings. Only thing missing for me is an inroom safe.

Just a room with a bed, no tv, no window, no kettle, it smells and you can’t stay in the room. DO NOT STAY HERE PLEASE.

There is much to like about Europa Hotel, but hands down the absolute best part is the staff. They are accommodating, helpful, and will do whatever they can to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as they can. Michael, in particular, is the best, and we feel indebted to him for all his assistance. He is also friendly and funny. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and big (high ceilings, too). Excellent location, as it is in front of the beach and right in between two bus stops covering many bus routes, including the X2 for the airport. Many restaurants in the area. We had planned to go to Gozo for a few nights in between stays in Europa Hotel, and decided to extend our stay here and go to Gozo for fewer nights. We were also able to leave some luggage behind until we came back, and it was accommodated in the best way. Great value and you definitely get more than expected for the price -- some negative reviews seem to want amenities more fit for four/five star hotels. Would happily stay here again if we return to Malta. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything!!!

The staff was great, and very helpful. The view from the balcony was amazing for sunsets. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's in good shape, and it's a great value. We extended our stay and then returned after a couple of days in another city. Very convenient for buses and the old town area.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Shower normal European size, which is to say small. Hot water was quick and plentiful. Had a harder time and a bit of a wait to get cold water. Location was quiet and an easy 30 minute bus ride to Valleta and decent connections to airport and places like Rabat/Mdina. Buses ran every 7-10 mins to Valetta and stop is a short walk from hotel. My room had a balcony that just looked on the inside of hotel walls which was not worth looking at or stepping out onto. Staff was friendly. Didn’t pay to have the breakfast, so have no opinion about it.

Very good, clean and nice stay for people who likes to spend the whole day out and just come back to sleep. My room had a regular size, and I was very surprised with the balcony area (which was not included in the description). The breakfast is ok, nothing extraordinary, but tasty. The people who works in the hotel are very friendly and helpful, so I highly recommended to young people (solo, couple or friends), who wants a comfortable place to sleep and don't care too much about luxury or big sized rooms.
