This hotel room was not clean. The carpets were stained. The air conditioning was not working. We had to leave.

Our check in was quick and flawless. Maria checked us in and went above and beyond with her helpful suggestions on where to eat and sightseeing tips. She also was able to procure us rooms at our requested types, she got us breakfast boxes since we had early flight and would miss the breakfast times, so we were very grateful for her assistance.

Wonderful location on the Ponta Delgada waterfront, with a small balcony. Our room was immaculate and spacious. Bathroom was very good. The parking situation has some problems. There is parking in a garage under the hotel for a reasonable fee, but only the upper level is connected by elevator to the hotel. The lower level has a separate entrance and difficult foot access. Parking spaces on both levels are too narrow.

Our stay at Hotel Marina Atlântico was absolutely perfect! We stayed in a suite with a beautiful ocean view, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is ideally located, making it easy to explore Ponta Delgada on foot. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. We also really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, as well as the jacuzzi and sauna, which were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Everything about our stay was excellent. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Marina Atlântico to anyone visiting São Miguel!

Perfect location! Next to everything and so much nearby. The marina is great! Downtown equally as great! Room was clean. Mine didn’t have balconies, we booked 2. One had a decent view. The rooms are on the small side but efficient and very clean. They do not provide hair conditioner or body lotion or a clothes iron like some so bring your own. They do have a hotel iron they will let you use in a staff room each time you want to iron something, a little inconvenient but nothing for your room. My water pressure was great but my kids room water pressure wasn’t that great. The staff were nice. The pool was nice. The breakfast was good and they have gluten free options if you ask. I did wish they switched up some things once in a while , we were there for 10 days and it was plain scrambled eggs everyday, bacon and sausage. I think if they did poached, hard boiled, omelets or fried eggs here and there or as a side option that would be nice even if it’s once or twice a week to switch things up. Maybe a different meat like ham , chourico or Canadian bacon once in a while that would be good too. The fresh cheeses were excellent and the fresh fruit and breads all excellent. The in room refrigerator doesn’t get very cold at all. Don’t rely on that especially for medication. Don’t expect a queen bed, they put two twins together. The gym is small but fine for a small vacation. All in all I would recommend it and I would stay again.

nice place and great location

Loved this property and will be back! It’s in the BEST location. The rooms are a good size and clean! The hotel has a pool, a bar and a restaurant, and has many places to just hang whether it’s on the deck having a drink or inside on the couches waiting for your day trip transportation. We were there during the World Cup and they would play the games in the bar which was a convenient way to end each day while still getting to watch the game (as opposed to trying to find a nearby bar with space). Overall this property is convenient and beautiful, and made for a very comfortable stay!

Great front desk staff. Great location

Great hotel, great location. We had an ocean view suite that had been recently renovated. Nice gym, indoor pool with hot tub, nice buffet breakfast, annd very good bar. Only minor issues were the automatic lights which we could not turn off. They came on every time you entered the bathroom and would wake up anyone trying to sleep. Also no chargers for phone.

This place was great! Can’t beat the location and the service was fantastic. Friendly staff and the restaurant has great food. The breakfast buffet is great every morning too. Would definitely book again.

The staff is awesome! The room was spotless everyday. The breakfast was fabulous. We had a great stay. My only wish is that each bedside have phone charger capability.

The staff at the reception desk were very nice and accommodating. On our last day we left for the airport before breakfast opened but they had a packed meal with a sandwich, fruit, apple juice, and water ready to go for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Marina Atlantico and would highly recommend staying there. It's the perfect location - close to shopping, restaurants and the town square. We found several "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants nearby with very reasonable prices and great food. The staff are amazingly gracious, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is superb with something for every palate. Our one bedroom suite with balcony overlooking the marina was amazing - loved sitting out having coffee and people watching.

The cleaning personnel were exceptionally meticulous, professional, and polite, keeping everything spotless and well organized. The food was excellent, and the breakfast was fresh, varied, and enjoyable every morning. Overall, this four star hotel creates an atmosphere where guests truly feel valued, comfortable, and well taken care of. Highly recommended.
