Since we last visited this really is a hotel review in two halves. There are some very good aspects, and some disappointments. The staff here are their finest attributes: Great receptionists multi lingual and charming/welcoming this is so nice and they are clearly very committed to their jobs. We were made to feel that nothing was a problem. Likewise the cleaning staff are excellent- really sparkling fresh rooms and communal areas and restaurant and believe me I check everything! ✔️ shiny taps, mirrors, sinks, shower doors, no dust and fresh smelling with perfect crisp bed making. Well done all of you. Apart from the staff there are good things about the hotel itself: Tea and coffee making in the room much appreciated with a proper sized kettle and a good selection of beverages (but paper cups). The bathroom was a bit of an odd design and the shower looked promising but failed to deliver. There is quite a high step up into the shower and care should be taken on the tiled floor which got slippery when wet. There is a provided hairdryer and toiletries, again very acceptable. Towels were clean and acceptably fluffy. The location is quiet and set among an area of green trees with good parking and 2 disabled spaces. There is easy access from a nice wide road not located in a shabby industrial area so we felt safe. Yes this motel style accommodation but we had a very reasonable sized room with good Bed size and at a comfort level that was acceptable to us. There are plenty of USB and sockets on both sides of the bed. Decor is modern and pleasing and the carpet was clean and fresh. Pillows and bedding were fine and there was a tilt style opening window with electric outside shutter. It's regrettable that there is no lift. The ambient temperature was fine as it was so for us so we did not try the heating or aircon. There is an outside eating area which looked like it would be pleasant when the restaurant is open. The breakfast buffet was fine - not the cheapest but there were hot and cold selections and everything was replenished right up to close of service and we did not feel hurried or rushed to leave as has happened in some hotels. However: The TV did not work - just stated 'not connected' I had requested a ground floor room on the booking as stairs are very difficult for low mobility guest - this was not made available and my husband had to negotiate a difficult spiral staircase with bags. We rang reception from our daughter's nearby home to make a dinner reservation as the menu had looked nice when we checked in. It was very difficult to speak to anyone on the number provided hotel phone. There were endless corporate answerphone messages and we finally phoned the head office to see if they could connect us to be told that the restaurant is closed at weekends! It does not state this on website anywhere that I could find. There were a number of maintainance issues with the room which we didn't realise until very late that evening: The reading light was not functioning on one side of bed so both large room lights had to be left on and the one that was used had obviously been overused/worn as it was poor condition and did not angle properly. The shower spray head had a ridiculous mist/fog effect which was non adjustable and it did not feel as if it was washing us properly. The shower temperature was barely warm enough on its maximum setting. The toilet was separate from the bathroom but is accessed across the wet bathroom making for a potentially hazardous night time loo visit. The glass sliding door to the shower room did not close fully - impeded by a cupboard. This meant shower steam egress into the bedroom as the extractors were not working in both bathroom and toilet. The heated towel rail was either not working or could not be switched on. We felt it was too late (11.30pm) to request a room change and obviously the maintenance issues could not be addressed at that time. In summary this is a good hotel that could be great if a few niggles were addressed would we return? Yes!

Really great hotel with free parking less than 10min from the city center. Second time I used this hotel, room was comfy and clean, perfect for my business trip, I had a different room than the first time.. this room was fully renovated I think. Nice touch !! The terrace will be pleasant to use when the weather will be warmer, didn’t have the occasion yet. Definitely recommend this hotel from the service to the food.

Cute little Hotel with very friendly personnel. The rooms are really nice. Comfortable beds, Air conditioning and very clean. The prices for food im the Restaurant and drinks are also OK. It is a little bit outside of the centeal. But with your car or Taxi you can reach the central good. Maps Shows 50 min away from the Airport but , I believe its up to the Traffic. I will come back😘 Thanks guys

Hotel is fine although breakfast has to be booked in advance an the bar is often shut - even on weekends. Worst part is the location. Part way up a long hill meaning you need transport car/bus/taxi to get to the centre of Lyon. Also, many taxis in the city didn't know where the hotel was so you literally had to direct them via Google maps.

Kyriad Lyon Sud Sainte Foy have comfortable rooms where you can enjoy your staying in Lion. At first glance it appears as a container structure but everything is fine. It's very far from city centre, you need a car or public transports.
