This property is really within walking distance to the Taos Plaza, yet the resort offers a shuttle to wherever you want to go! Walked around the large property to view the various ponds some with goldfish, gardens, flowers and landscaping - all so relaxing and beautiful. Tooks plenty of photos!

The property is a beautiful venue. The grounds are exquisite and well kept. The only disappointment was the restaurant. It seems the focus is on a menu that is more vegan style - e.g., starters such as a Kale Caesar Salad, Hummus and Olives, Maple/Honey Roasted Carrots. Limited entree selection - a beef tenderloin or a sirloin steak frites or a chicken schnitzel. We only had dinner there the first night. In our observations, the restaurant was never more than 30% occupied for dinner.

Absolutely beautiful grounds, even in the winter. Love the pool oasis area, the library, and the rooms - everything felt so luxurious. Staff was great, especially the valet crew. Restaurant and bar had great food and service, just wish they'd been a bit more lively. Would definitely stay again.

Overall a beautiful place and peaceful. Our room was very nice. The grounds are particularly nice with open green spaces. Most of the staff were very helpful. I would consider staying here again. Mostly minor issues that I did note: - Got there relatively late for our first night and hostess was not very pleasant about trying to get dinner there before they closed without a reservation even though the restaurant was practically empty. We were able to get food from the bar (same menu and ended up sitting in the restaurant anyway). - The indoor pool was not as nice as I was hoping. There is a funky odor in the pool area (musty/moldy odor) so we did not go back to use it a 2nd time. - Minor issues with room (broken hinges on armoir, the bathroom sink blas ts water that sprays everywhere if not careful which others also noted in their reviews, bathtub plug didn't hold water well). - Enjoyed our first night and decided to add on another but the desk staff couldn't book me a room at a reasonable cost so did it through Expedia while I sat there with them instead - not too uncommon these days but wish hotel staff had flexibilty to give a comparable deal.

We had an amazing stay at El Monte Sagrado. The property and rooms are beautiful. Excellent service, felt well taken care of from the moment we pulled up trough check out. It is a 10-15 minute walk to town and the hotel also offers a 24/7 shuttle that can take you anywhere within 3 miles. The pool is also beautiful, feels like you’re in a botanical garden.

One of the most beautiful resorts we’ve stayed in. The room was very spacious, clean and well decorated. The mattress was the best I’ve slept on and the grounds were beautiful. Every staff person we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Everyone at the resort was helpful and pleasant. The rooms are very dark and need to be updated. The grounds were shabby. I would not recommend a friend to stay here. Rooms definitely need more outlets. Hard time having any privacy in the bathroom because the doors from the bedroom overlooking the tub in the bathroom would open anytime one would shut the door to the bathroom.

We had a wonderful time. Ate dinner and breakfast at restaurant and both meals were excellent. Also, used the shuttle service to Taos Pueblo and the Plaza and the service was pleasant and convenient. The location is a very easy walk to The Plaza for shopping and dining.
