The only thing good about this hotel is the staff. Mommo (sp) was wonderful and helpful. But the rooms are old, and the ones that may have been renovated needed more work. I looked at 3 rooms, chose one I thought was fine but after settling in I looked up to see the vent was covered in mold! I changed rooms again and the shower was moldy. The toilet paper holder and soap dispenser were like those in public restrooms. Despite promises that the reception would be staffed until 7 or 9pm, there was no one there most nights after 6pm. It was very eerie, since the staff told me the hotel was almost empty. They also need to be more transparent about the fact that the reception is on the 1st floor (second in US terms), so you have to go up almost 2 flights of stairs to get there. They were nice and helped me with my large luggage, but if someone has difficulty climbing stairs it would be a surprise. Also, nowhere in their information does it say that they are in the pedestrian area of the Old Port, so cars cannot get near. I would not recommend this hotel unless they totally cleanup and redo the rooms.

Lovely staff. The fact that we had to climb to the first floor via stairs with luggage to get to reception was bad. The lift from the first floor up is tiny, barely enough for a person and luggage to go up. Our room was reasonably clean and comfortable but it had a cockroach. I assume that is normal in older buildings but I don't like them.

The hotel faces onto one of the city’s main shopping streets, so is very central and convenient. I was granted early checkin on arrival which I was grateful for after a very early start. The room was quirky and reflects the style of the old building it is in. Everything worked ok though and the staff were great.

Great location and friendly helpful staff however the hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. The room was poor with a terrible bed and poor soundproofing from some annoying noise. Pillows like bags of cement and a 1970's bathroom continued the theme of disappointment. Could possibly recommend unless comfort is of no importance, was cheap so guess you get what you pay for. My mistake !

Good location close to the harbour and bus and train station, but in a pedestrianised shopping street. Still some noise at night, but Marseilles is a big city. Room was reasonable size, and clean, with nice bathroom, and comfortable bed. Good quality breakfast, but there are plenty of cafes nearby if you don't want to pay the extra 11 euros. Staff friendly and helpful, and on hand 24hours.

Stayed 4 nights in a comfortable and clean room. Bathroom fine with good shower. Good sound-proofing and air conditioning. Kettle in room. Friendly welcome at reception which is staffed 24 hrs. Entrance is in a slightly gloomy side street off pedestrianised main shopping street but perfectly safe. Reception is on 1st floor. There’s a lift from there to bedrooms but not from street level up to reception, so do not book if stairs are are a real problem for you. Didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Would stay again without hesitation.

Worst Hotel we have stayed in for years. No lift from street level, 18 steps up to reception, not good if you have heavy luggage,no bell boy etc. Room on 4 th floor had no air con, just a thin tall portable fan so 35c not good, also bath plug was not draining, lack of due care and attention. Also opposite a large commercial property is under going refurbishment and building works drilling etc started at 7am

We were crashing for one night in between train trips. Not the most updated but we had what we needed. Great location for train station, port, restaurants, and tourism office.

Overall the stay at the hotel was very good. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The only big problem was that my cousin had her purse stolen whilst travelling on a bus even though she always tries to be very careful about security. We spent around 3 hours in a police station getting a report for the insurance claim, which should repay the money taken. Her cards were reported and cancelled but it was still a very unpleasant and traumatic experience for her especially.

Nice hotel near to shops galore and the centre of Marseille port great location make sure you have money because you will want to spend it on all the designer things around. Failing that a nice location to walk to the port and take in the view of boats and water

This hotel has tiny rooms and its twin rooms have two beds and two towels but little else to make two people comfortable in one room. The staff were friendly enough but basically disinterested. And whoever suggested the grey colour scheme was seriously misguided. Spending time relaxing in the hotel room was impossible.
