Clean room, staff

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my personal experience with this hotel. First, I want to mention that I am Asian, and during our stay, I couldn’t help but notice a difference in how we were treated compared to other guests. At breakfast each morning, my wife and I were consistently ignored by the staff. On our third day, we deliberately sat near the entrance to observe. We saw that other guests were greeted and welcomed as they came in, but we were not acknowledged in the same way. Another concern was at the lobby help desk. Whenever I asked questions, it often felt like the staff were in a rush to end the conversation rather than genuinely assist. The interactions felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I don’t want to make assumptions, but this was our experience, and it left us feeling uncomfortable. My wife and I travel frequently—at least twice a year to different places—and this is the first time we’ve ever felt this way. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and works on making all guests feel equally welcomed and respected. Good point is Breakfast food is good.

Stay was wonderful, staff very helpful (ie getting cabs called, personal room requests, exchanging money, etc.) Excellent breakfast, great variety. Would highly recommend this property. Can’t wait to come back. Ciao…

The breakfast will comprehensive in choice ans constantly being refilled. Probably one of the best ranges of food that I have experienced in a European country.

Great staff and nice location

Staff were very friendly, room was spacious and kept clean and stocked up on essentials. We were lucky to have a balcony (very small balcony), tv could have been better but not overly important

The hotel is small. But very cozy all staff is very helpful and caring. The rooms are very clean. Maybe they can use a bit of pair touch ups here and there. But the cleanness makes you overlook chipped paint on the bathroom counter. Breakfast is great it helps to have it available before we head out. Plus it saves money. The bar is tiny but the bartenders are knowledgeable about drinks. I wish the restaurant had a better menu. It doesn’t seem like there’s a chef making the food it looks like maybe pre made food being cooked when order. But after a long day out it does the job. I would definitely stay here again. Location is great walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and the hop on and off bus stops. Lot of restaurants with in 5 minute walk. A small mini mart feet away. So yes I would recommend this place.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was fabulous and a great day to start the day. The room was the perfect size with a great view and oversized window. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

No tissues/Kleenex!

Hotel Dei Mellini is in an ideal location for the Vatican City and not to far from Rome city centre, which is accessible via bus or metro near the hotel. The staff are excellent, from the Reception, breakfast staff and the cleaning staff. On arrival we got a warm welcome and tips on how to get around and where to eat. The breakfast is a buffet style with lots of choice to suit all tastes. Cleaning was done every day ,and the room was left neat and tidy. The bar is a small area but is well stocked On the whole, Hotel Dei Mellini was the perfect choice and made our visit to Rome memorable Highly recommend
