Nice relaxing hotel

Elite Hotel Martenson is situated in old town Halmstad and walkable from the train station. The central location provides easy access to restaurants, parks, cultural events, public facilities and a short bicycle ride to a beautiful beach. The hotel itself was very quaint, well maintained and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurants on site provided another excellent amenity. Although we did not get a chance to use the gym it was probably one of the best equipped we’ve seen

A really nice and hospitable hotel located in a nice walking district with access to restaurants and shops as well as the historic city gate. The on premises restaurant Franz Bistro and the Cafe were excellent! The bar was also very nice. All the staff were pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. My only suggestion is a note on booking sites and reservation email that the address of the hotel is not on a drivable street. GPS brings you to the rear of the hotel and it's not apparent where to go. I ended up calling to get instruction.

Was a great property in an excellent local. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms needs updating and in room coffee.

This property was located in a perfect place for anyone visiting Halmstead for the first time. Unfortunately, upon our check out the front desk gal was pretty rude. The beauty of the experience of this beautiful hotel was diminished by her attitude.

Our group of 10 from the U.S all stayed there. We hosted a memorial luncheon for my sister with 40 guests attending. I had been arranging it for the last few months with various staff members via email from the the U.S. All were helpful, accommodating and prompt in replying to all questions and arrangements. The luncheon was beautifully arranged and the food was delicious. Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for everything and everyone! Thank you for making this trip and event perfect. Eva Harvick

I’m 72 . I’ve been in a lot of hotels in my travels,& without a hesitation people make the difference,& the martenson left us with the best experience . The entire staff!

The breakfast each morning was superb. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was a bit confusing, however there are public parking lots within a short walk of the hotel in two directions. Of note, the Hotel does not have it's own parking, however that's not really an issue. Plenty of choices in the area to dine, some cool attractions within a short walk, beautiful area along the Nissan river with multiple parks and hiking trails close by.

Hadde et flott opphold. God mat i resturanter og service. Sol og nydelig på kvelden.

Dammigt och ostädat i badrummet. Slitna avskavda möbler på rummet. Övriga delar av hotellet fint och mysigt.

Frukosten var något underdimensionerad, ffa vad det gäller tallrikar och glas/muggar. Personalen talade lite morgontrötta om att de var i disken.

Rent och snyggt överallt, önskar lite bredare säng. Killen som jobbade i Gretas bar ikväll 17/5 var så trevlig och tillmötesgående. Tack för oss😁

Ett fint gammelt hotell med meget bra beliggenhet med 2-3min gange fra Sentrum i Halmstad og mange restauranter rett utenfor døren. Rommet er helt ok men ingen luksus og sengene er bare middels. Ellers er det ett bra hotell med veldig hyggelig personale og bra frokost. Hadde rommet vært bedre ville jeg gitt 9/10 men nå gir jeg 7/10

Ok vistelse på ett trevligt hotell. Men tråkigt utsikt då fönster var mot en konferensanläggning med rak insyn på mitt rum. Inget som framkom av bokningen och tråkigt att behöva ha fördragna fönster hela vistelsen.

Lækkert byhotel med cool indretning. Værelset var rummeligt og personalet venligt, god morgenmad.
