The resort as a whole was excellent. We loved the restaurants and the pool. The staff was wonderful! Very clean! We surged for a penthouse to enjoy the stars with the ceiling shades that retract but sadly less than half of them worked. Other than that it’s was a great stay!

Beautiful room and great staff.

Hotel had numerous amenities including a full breakfast buffet every morning which was lovely. The staff was very helpful and they also provided complimentary transfers from the train station. We had a wonderful suite with a gorgeous view of Lake Lugano and the mountains. Highly recommend Villa Sassa!

Excellent place to stay, comfortable bed and very friendly and helpful staff. Great location only a short bus ride to the railway station and into the centre. Ticino ticket is available for free travel in the whole area! Brilliant hotel! Thanks, Jimmy and Gwyneth

Great hotel but a large construction crane obscures a wonderful view from pool and dining area.

I was incredibly surprised to find such a gem in Lugano. ALLthe staff (front desk, restaurant, gym, spa) were warm and welcoming and most important competent. The rooms are sparse but super clean and functional apartments. I enjoyed the spa services and products as well as the gym classes. The restaurant was the biggest surprise- should have a Michelin star. Excellent food, presentation and knowledgable and attentive staff. The view is gorgeous- i fact we saw an end to end rainbow one day after a storm from mountain to lake. Sorta sums up the place. Very intimate and special.

Excellent breakfast choices and responsive staff. I lost my phone and the staff helped me communicate with someone who found it. The room had a magnificent view. We had dinner in the ristorante and the meal was creative and delicious. The staff are friendly and shared interesting information.

Amazing hotel room and vibes - just for dinner restaurant we waited long time on our second night . The first night on the December 24th was amazing great staff and very caring but the 25th the team was very unattended.

We were in Lugano for just one night for my partners birthday and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The staff were very kind and upgraded our room for the birthday celebration! We also were able to arrange a free shuttle to the train station when we left. Beautiful view from the room and other areas in the hotel. We didn’t get a chance to use them, but the wellness amenities seemed great as well. Would stay again!

This place is awesome.

Stayed for one week and enjoyed every minute of it. This beautiful property has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and effortless. The breakfast is one of the best I had in my travels , suitable for everyone! Location is a short drive to the lake and we surrounding attractions. Highly recommend!!!

Property is older, but well maintained. Our suite was spacious and clean, comfortable beds. Beautiful location, nice view, attentive staff. Would recommend.
