I traveled with a group of only adults (age 30's-40's) and we stayed 5 nights. That being said- This resort is a great spot for families with children; but perhaps not the best choice if your group is adults only. The location is great! Very close to lots of restaurants and shopping and other points of interest (Barefoot Landing). Quick access to the beach. The on-site restaurant is actually quite good for an easy lunch. Aside from being overwhelmed with child-energy...there were some things that I was disappointed with. Biggest one: no bathrooms in the pool area. You have to take the elevator up to the lobby and use the bathroom there. So inconvenient, and with all the children there? And adults drinking? Its like they are asking you to pee in the pool. I think that was the biggest issue. I have never been to a pool that didn't have a restroom/locker room near by. There were other small annoying issues with check-in and with certain things being broken/power going out. The parking deck across the street was super crammed with tight spaces- you have to be real careful in there. We all had a great time and made the most of our vacation. If I were to stay at Avista again, maybe it would just be for a shorter trip. I would recommend this resort for families with children.

Unit was very clean, beautifully furnished, comfortable with wonderful views. Very friendly and helpful staff. The on-site restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools and lazy rivers were a big hit with the grandkids.

This property was fine. It wasn’t immaculately clean but it was fine. We spent most of our time on the beach which was great!

First time staying at this property .. will def be returning

This hotel was right on the beach and walking distance to many shops, restaurants and an arcade. Only issue we had was that we had to change rooms as we paid for an oceanfront two bedroom but was on the first floor right by the pool. To me we don't consider oceanfront overlooking the pool. Kathy the manager and Laura at the front desk was accommodating to move us to another one bedroom ocean view that was better than the oceanfront. Gigi when we checked out was nice enough to make sure we got refunded for the downgrade. That was much appreciated. The rooms and hotel was very clean. Would definitely come back again.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful property

Granted, this is not a 5star resort for the elite. This is a clean, family friendly, great staff and great rooms resort. Their staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on the first floor. The staff are great, fun people. We booked already for July 4th!

Would have liked parking not in a garage across the street. But, everything else was excellent!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was probably the cleanest resort we've stayed at.
