Terrible. Would not stay here again. Power continuously went out. Extremely loud, could not sleep. Walls are so thin you can hear people outside and in every room. Floors were so dirty. Beds uncomfortable. Front desk does not help at all with any requests. Spend your money somewhere else.

Great location. 2 bed apartment ok for 4, but would have been small for 6. Apartments in Soleil now getting a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. Beds uncomfortable. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Valbel this year - previously in the Village Montana Premier - both of these were refurbished appartments with great views. The skiing is great - especially as the boot rooms are practically on the slopes and the main ski schools are all right next to the appartments. Perfect for families - no need to carry the kids skis miles after they are tired and grumpy. The appartment was well equiped - could have done with a cheese grater - but the was the only thing missing! Great appartments - valbel slightly bigger than the premier and allowed the kids to have a proper room to themselves and more storage. It was was worth the extra few hundred. Would really recommend the appartment.

Comfortable stay, room was ok but the toilet and bathroom, whilst functional and clean were small. Not much hanging space in the room, so if your happy living out of a bag that’s fine. Hotel reception had a nice seating area and pool table, real log fire. Staff on reception where friendly. The car park was just over the road, quite nearby which is really handy. Overall it was a good location for ski in / out and the apartment was well equipped, with a balcony. But when compared to other 5 and 4 star places I’ve stayed for skiing in France, this was quite overpriced and did not represent reasonable value for money.

The trip was lovely, the accommodation was modern, clean and had all the facilities we required. I had a slight issue with being charged twice for parking but a phone call sorted this. We would definitely stay again.

We stay at the Village Montana - VALBEL residence. The apartment is very nice, spacious, clean, renovated and well equipped. Carpets only in the bedrooms is definitely an upside. Lovely view of the slopes. The heater works very well (including in the bathroom) and we did not have any problem with the hot water. Kitchen with appliances and utensils included for every kind of meals. Outstanding location for skiers. Ski room clean, heated, keyless lock and exit straight to the slopes, very near to lifts and ski schools. No question, best ski in ski out I have ever been. Good for families with a bakery right outside, restaurants and groceries nearby. Important to mention the elevator right across the street that takes you to “downtown” with a mall, restaurants, shops and outdoor attractions. Only two things to note: 1 - if you go by car, parking spots are very small and expensive. 2 - For kids, there was no step stool for toddlers to reach sink in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend this property and will hopefully be returning. Thank you VM for a comfortable and pleased stay.

Stay was comfortable enough. However kitchen area was on the small side, slight disappointment with size of oven, and perhaps could do with more utensils. Sitting area did not have enough lounge sitting for 4 adults (only 3 at most on the sofa). Wifi experience was at times inconsistent, connection to phone loses after a period and permanently couldn't reconnect, although forgetting/disconnecting from network and reconnecting again. However if/when connected, experience and speed was good and adequate. Location was good and close to lots of amenities.

Remember this "hotel" has multiple buildings, we stayed in the modern 35-sqm "Apartment, 1 Bedroom" (= Premier building.) So this review is only about that building. Overall we had a great stay. Room: The room was spacious for the 2 of us and doable for 4 people. It has 1 double bed and 2 twin beds (second room has an open door though.) Great kitchen, furniture, couch, beds, shower/bathroom, etc. Only the separate toilet was a stupid design, very difficult to sit if you are a bit tall (unless you open the door.) And we didn't have WiFi in the room (to be fair: we didn't complain as 4G data was fine for us.) Great view on slopes from balcony. Location: The ski-room is absolutely great, very easy to go to the meeting points for ski schools (even for beginners) and you can easily reach it from practically all slopes too. Bakery, ski-rent, restaurants.. all next door, supermarket small 5 min walk. Service: desk was friendly, fast check-in and out. No new bed sheets during week, only new towels - fine for us. Overall I could highly recommend it for couples (even with 2 kids) and we might come back here. Although I would not recommend it for 2 couples (4 adults) as the toilet design and lack of closed door on second room might be bothersome.

Great ski apartments overlooking the piste. 2nd bedroom is behind a sliding slatted wooden door so fine for kids but not great for 4 x Adults. Kitchen is modern and well equipped - some rooms have a proper ovens some microwaves. Our balcony got sun in the afternoon but some were overlooking the boot room / piste and in the shade. Storage was limited and could be easily improved. Prices on hotels.com better than direct with Montana but does mean you don’t get a choice of building so research carefully.

Perfect located room, very tired room with 2 rooms with twin beds so not ideal for couples. The residence wasn’t manned at all and the ski in ski out was the worst we’ve experienced. Confusing place as Village Montana has I think 4 or 5 hotels/lodges/appts so when checking out on review sites you couldn’t see which was appropriate. Also the description stated spa and pool but it was in another hotel and you had to pay 10 euros each for so very misleading. Overall was ok but not 4 star that we’ve experienced at other places in Val Thorens.

Right next to slopes and equipment rental outlets. Across the road from the promenade to town centre. Helpful pleasant staff. Our room wasn't the amazing rooms you see in photos but was adequate, room wasn't serviced once, extra towels were supplied half way through the week. Wifi was quite basic. Access to spa facilities and pool were subject to an extra charge of €15. I would stay here again at the price paid

Strong smell of urine in toilet, no amount of cleaning helped. When we were leaving and stripped bed was horrified to find old blood on mattress cover. When we reported toilet nothing could be done as hotel was full

We stayed in Village Montana ValBel, overall I could not fault anything about the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, location was perfect, easy ski out straight on to the main slope, we didn’t hear any noise and has all you need in the local shops nearby. Our room no. was 30 which is a 2 bedroom cabin with a balcony over-looking the mountain and slopes. The cabin was very spacious all round, clean, comfortable beds and all the amenities needed for a relaxed and enjoyable week stay. This was our second time at Val Thorens, the resort has everything you need from excellent conditions, a range of easy to hard ski runs, breath taking views of the mountains and the 6km toboggan is awesome fun. I would recommend restaurants The Steak Club and John’s American, great food, value for money and service.

Good location for the slopes - staff very good. The apartment we had - the two beds on the mezzanine had no headroom - not an issue for us as we did not use but these beds only suitable for children. Kitchen reasonably equipped, shower nice and powerful, plenty of hot water.

Great place to stay. The real lobby/check-in was located across the street at the Village Montana Premier, which was slightly confusing. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were slightly hard and the first room had a window that opened up on the hallway so it was rather noisy. The views were amazing and you can't be the location though.
