This hotel claims to be 4-star, but the service and experience were anything but.
From the start, booking was a headache. I booked through Expedia as it was much cheaper than booking direct. The room pictured was misleading, and even though the hotel admitted fault and Expedia explained the hotel chose their pictures when I raised this, both the hotel and Expedia just bounced accountability back and forth. Even after paying to “upgrade” more, the room provided was still not as advertised. When I complained, the staff simply shrugged their shoulders. Then look confused that I’d like the tiny sofa bed made up.
The concept of all-inclusive here is a joke. Towels? You have to pay to change them. I’ve never stayed at an all-inclusive where this has been the case — enough said.
Bar service was equally poor. Staff were rude, inconsistent, and acted as if serving a drink was an inconvenience. To top it off, at the end of the day I was suddenly told I had to pay for the cup my drink came in — despite not being charged for it all day. When I questioned this, the female member of staff glared at me and snapped “you have to pay.” The male staff member just shrugged and said “mistakes happen but now you have to pay,” before rudely serving the person behind me. Not exactly 4-star hospitality.
