This is a newly renovated hotel close to the waterfront, la Rambla and the gothic centre. The decor is elegant and modern. Breakfast is excellent. Despite my initial respite which I am going to describe below, in fairness, I have to say that the reception provided excellent customer service which is very important in the hospitality area. I booked two rooms with a sitting area. On check-in our friends were given a large room as pictured and anticipated. We were given a smaller one which overlooked the square (I.e. better view than our friend’s). When I complained about the different treatment, I was given the explanation that I asked for a room with good views (which I did) and I was shown a larger room with awful view which I didn’t like at all. As compensation, they gave my husband and me a free breakfast and brought in an extra chair as requested (as the room only has one chair). On departure day, they still apologized about it. While I am still confused about the room categorization they use as explained to me and as described in their website (is the larger room standard or superior?), I must say to the reception team we enjoyed the stay and are happy to stay again if we go back to Barcelona for a fifth time.

The room was very noisy from outside activities. Friday and Saturday night there was a street concert that kept us up most of the night. Also noisy from street activity on an ongoing basis. They expect you out of your room between 9:00 - 5:00 so that it is available for housekeeping to make up your room

Newly renovated hotel at a convenient location. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Easy check in and out and charge a really small fee (15 Euros) for early check in. We checked in early at 11 am.

The windows in the room are not noise insulating and there was very loud live music playing until 2am on two nights which made it difficult to fall and stay asleep.

Great location. We walked to the main land marks and the beach was at such a short stroll. We stayed everyday for breakfast at the hotel not only for their super nice atmosphere and food but also because Noelia, the chef , was so charismatic and welcoming. Ana Maria

Everything was great

The location is right by the beach and boardwalk with easy access to taxis. The room is clean and well appointed with a large shower area. They have a strict rule with extra pillows. They only allow 1 pillow per room. It didn’t matter if I had a medical condition which requires me to lie down on an incline, so tough luck. The staff are respectful but firm and definitely not the friendliest bunch. The rooms aren’t exactly inexpensive.
