This poor hotel. It tries so hard to be luxurious but the condition is SO bad! It’s so outdated that it looks like the last renovation was in the 1980’s. The staff tries so hard and does such a great job trying to compensate for the hotel’s condition. The walls, wallpaper, doors, shutters - just about everything - needs to be torn out and replaced. The bed was comfortable but it’s just such a throwback to the 80’s. As a travel agent, I was shocked at the property condition.

A Cozy and Relaxing Getaway in Cairns! As a traveler from the USA, I was looking for a cozy and relaxing place to unwind during my holiday in Cairns—and this hotel absolutely delivered. The service was exceptional—top marks all around. The staff were attentive and made me feel right at home. Cleanliness was also impeccable, with fresh sheets, fluffy towels, and spotless rooms throughout my stay. The food was delicious, with plenty of options to suit every taste. I also enjoyed the onsite casino, which added a fun twist to the evenings. One of the highlights was the pool area—it was never too busy, and there was plenty of space for lounging and soaking up the sun. Perfect for those looking to relax! Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairns!

Excellent location, good breakfast, room for improvement in furniture/blind maintenance

Our room was clean, the staff was great, the breakfast was awesome for us because there was healthy options, but the view from our room was just looking straight out at another hotel that had a noisy bar at night.

It’s a beautiful (albeit slightly ageing) gem. Great pool, gym needs a refresh/rethink but still one of my favorite hotels - staff are friendly and hotel cleaning staff keep the place looking beautiful
