Good place to stay. Rooms are a good size and clean. Bath is small but okay for our requirements. Staff are friendly and the breakfast was good. Happy to recommend and will be staying again.

Room was clean but geared up for disability and not as comfortable as we would have liked. Breakfast was poor

The chalets are fine but signage is rather confusing and other visitors were walking around trying to find their rooms. The rooms are mainly clean, although there were cobwebs in the room I stayed in. The bar was very busy and noisy, due to a large table of guests, also the drinks were very expensive. Would stay again but won't use the bar!

Have stayed at the hotel many times but decided this time to stay in the franklyn suite as a treat and wow it certainly did not disappoint !

I liked the fact it was quiet and pretty clean. I loved the gym, pool and sauna. The restaurant was really good and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I would recommend and stay again.

The hotel was quiet and clean and set in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are predominantly in outside blocks, which means no clattering of room doors or late night/early morning voices in the corridor disturbing your sleep. There were a few cobwebs and the odd eight legged resident in our room, but orherwise it was clean and comfortable. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were good. The changing rooms are fairly small and the lockers need a £1 coin to operate. Breakfast is a buffet-style affair but was of good quality and tasty.

Property was amazing however rooms could use better cleaning. Grounds are beautiful. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dining was excellent (we did the breakfast and had dinner in the pub).

Lovely hotel set in wonderful grounds in a lovely rural location, but not to far away from the Motorway.

Everything was very good, maybe the bar area was slightly lacking at times in service but overall we had an excellent stay and will be back

Business trip Room was in need of a make over just looked tried, bed was clean and comfortable, food was great but a bit over priced

Great stay, comfy, super dog friendly, staff very attentive and lovely,,,, only issue, busy bank hol weekend and they struggled with food, breakfast crowded and slow food with queues,,, plates and cups long wait, coffee machine really slow and broken,,, dinner; 40 min wait for starter then 1.5 hour wait for main, waiter got us 2 free drinks each for tlthe delay and was v apologetic... upside food was good - bar fab, facilities and grounds super,,, we would definitely return! Dog loved it too!

Finding our room was difficult as numbers on doors were same colour as door and impossible to find at night ! No guidance given by staff on 1st morning as to self service breakfast . We went to a table and thought it was waitress service . Staff lax at clearing tables The arrangement of running hot water in bath was complicated , you needed to turn cold tap first to enable hot water to flow. Toilet roll holder in vertical position , usually in horizontal , wrongly positioned

The bed was very worn with no defined edge so when you turn over at night you fall out of it. we were on the ground floor we were not happy opening the window at night as anyone could climb into the room, so it was very hot and airless.
