Would definitely recommend, and aim to stay again next year. Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings - far enough away from the busy Lake District hotspots to make it a peaceful stay, yet close enough to everywhere you might want to visit! Beautiful garden and pond, with friendly ducks. Clean throughout with spacious room and bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Great breakfasts with lots of choice. Only little niggle - it would be an added bonus to be able to have a cappuccino or latte choice at breakfast :)

The hotel was very well kept and our bedroom we think had been recently refurbished and was lovely and clean. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and the scenery out of the window over the duck pond was beautiful. The grounds were well maintained with seating areas outside and also around the duck pond. The only problem we encountered was the Jacuzzi on the second night was a bit hot to sit in but we still had the pool and steam and sauna to enjoy. We enjoyed this hotel so much we have booked to go back in July. Very highly recommended.

Staff were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful. Room and bathroom were neat and tidy and comfortable. Facilities were excellent. Fantastic venue, highly recommend!

Lovely location and setting, peaceful and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and the gym and pool facilities were excellent. Room was clean and cosy. Easy to get to Bowness, Windermere, Ambleside, Coniston and Newby Bridge

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were beautifully clean and housekeeping were in every day. Breakfast was really good a lot of variety, well cooked, always hot. Buffet style but replenished constantly. Well sited for the touring of the lakes by whatever way you wish to do so.

We had a cabin room w hot tub. Room was spotless & decorated v nicely. The cabins are definitely not new as indicated on website! Some worn items in need of replacement. Foodxwas good. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Breakfast buffet was good with decent selections, bed comfortable. Room small and a bit noisy with thin walls. Bathroom dated, shower cubicle very small and a bit grubby. Hotel grounds were really nice and the staff were very friendly

Stayed in a pod with hot tub, great use of space and logs provided for the burner. Outside area could benefit from some small touches like solar fairy lights, dry seating cushions and maybe robes. Fabulous sleep, so tranquil, great breakfast, good selection and tasty , hot food. Swimming pool was out of use, no partial refund was offered. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We had a comfortable stay in a good clean room with restful beds and efficient bathroom facilities.We appreciated the quiet location and pleasant outlook over the garden area and surrounding landscape......fine weather helped. Staff members were helpful and friendly; food choice was good at breakfast.

Great location for local towns and villages. Nice clean Hotel. Fantastic breakfast. With a nice touch of resident ducks in the pond outside! If you book directly by phoning the hotel you will get a deal 20% cheaper than any search engine!

It was very lovely to stay in the dog-friendly hotel in a quiet location. The room was relatively small, and during the night, we suddenly heard noises from the drains. They were pretty noisy, and the room was dog-friendly. Staff members were helpful and friendly, but some did not say hello or good morning and did not even look at guests. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. We saw the lovely garden from the restaurant. The swimming pool and gym were not big, but they were lovely. Massages were fully booked when we were there. I should’ve booked earlier. Overall, we had a great time there.
