Nothing unique, just a well run pleasant hotel. It's in an business estate that's empty at night,so it's very quiet, but no pubs or shops nearby but plenty in town

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great for children, they made a real effort. Milk and cookies at bedtime brought with a selection of books. That was a real personal touch that we hadnt expected. The room was a great size for 4. Decent breakfast despite the small size of the hotel. We were only looking for a bed for a couple of nights to attend a birthday celebration but were really delighted with what a pleasant stay it was. Would definitely come back and hopefully the car chargers will be operational then.

Everything was fine. Good quality bacon for breakfast. Room spacious and clean. Only issue was that soap in shower had run low and did not flow into hand

Staff lovely despite obvious shortages of menu items and basics. They dealt with problems the best they could with the lack of any management being available to offer support to one female staff member on second shift working without uniform another female staff member on her fourth week with the hotel with limited training and a male staff member multitasking to help with anything and everything. Room was clean and bed was comfy Free Wi-Fi Good buffet breakfast although some items fry due to being kept in heat pans too long. No brown or wholemeal bread available. Check in and out went smoothly

This was a great place to stay, rooms clean and tidy, breakfast was exceptional staff will help with anything you ask. will stay there again

If you can, avoid room 011 (ground floor), not sure what is above but footsteps came through the ceiling late at night and again early morning which woke me. Told reception on leaving but just got a “sorry about that”. Some staff nice and friendly. Public areas OK but a bit tired in places. Free parking and a service station in walking distance. Overall did the job but not cheap.

Good communal area for children and staff were pleasant. However there was a very strong unpleasant smell thoughout the hotel and in the rooms. There was also large stains on the carpet in the hallways which were wet - we assume they had been recently cleaned. Breakfast was ok - however they had ran out off pastries when we attended at 9.30. Overall unlikely to stay again due to cleanliness/smell.

Our stay in Holiday inn express was so so lovely. The staff really friendly, helpful especially in the morning at breakfast. They were on the ball making sure everyone was well feed. The breakfest was truly delicious. I did not expect such lovely hot food for the price we paid. Great value, great staff and very comfortable beds. Not to far from Shrewsbury. There in 10 minutes. Thank you to all the staff and the hotel itself.

The hotel is starting to look a little tired with bathroom hardware looking old and warn. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and well presented. It is used extensively by trades folk so avoid the breakfast areas between 7:30 and 8:30. Good luck to the new management.

Lovely big clean room with ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Quiet and curtains blacked out light for good nights sleep in very comfy bed. Staff very welcoming and lift to our room on first floor.
