We chose Beyond Karon for the location, direct beach access, and perfectly placed between Karon and Kata so everything you need is within reach. Our room had a balcony facing the pool, the beach, and the sunset. Ground floor rooms with direct pool access are available too, if you don't mind the occasional passerby. Breakfast deserves a mention on its own, same panoramic view, and worth waking up for. There's also an in-house steakhouse for when you just want to stay put. One small note: no bidet sprayer in the bathroom, though understandable given the hotel's age.

The location is very strategic, you can just walk for day sightseeing. Stayed in the beach view room, and it's an amazing choice. Watch the sunset and sunrise from your room or just easily walk to the beach which [is] not more than 100 steps.

The room is nice, next to the beach. Lovely staff. But parking is a little less
