One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive you relax in 5* luxury, the staff are outstanding, warm and friendly. Facilities incredible, mountain views across the Vineyards a stunning kitchen garden and 2 outstanding restaurants. Thanks we will be back!

Rooms were nice and service was great. The place is very beautiful and tranquil. We had a ironing board delivered to our suite but then when we left for dinner, some staff had came back to our room unannounced, and without telling us took the ironing board and iron and moved some of the bedding around. We mentioned this to the manager when we checked out, but it made us incredibly uncomfortable and I don’t know if we would stay there again because of that instance. I hope management will notify future guests if they intend to enter their suites at any point during their stay, whether it be part of their service offerings or not.

The Steenberg Hotel is a fabulous oasis of tranquility, with wonderful, knowledgeable, and courteous staff, great breakfasts and an excellent dinner menu at Tryn. Thank you for the perfect ending to our Cape Town trip.

Our recent visit to this extraordinary Cape Town hotel was far more than just a stay, it was an incredible experience that felt like a heartfelt reunion with long-lost friends and family. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in genuine warmth and welcome, making us feel exceptionally cherished. The hotel established on a heritage site is nothing short of epic. Every detail, from the architecture to meticulously designed interiors, spoke of unparalleled luxury and comfort. We truly couldn't have wished for more. Recent refurbishments are clearly "next level," seamlessly blending modern elegance with the hotel's inherent charm. The environment, both indoors and out, was absolutely beautiful, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop. And the food? Absolutely "on point." Each meal was a culinary delight, a testament to exceptional quality and exquisite taste. It's rare to find a hotel where every dining aspect is so consistently outstanding.For anyone with discerning taste seeking royal treatment, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It's more than a stay, it's an experience that rejuvenates the spirit and warms the soul. We're already planning our return, bringing friends and family. This Cape Town gem truly requires more than just one visit to appreciate its magic.

A beautiful property in a peaceful setting, great restaurants on site and the opportunity to taste their wines too! Take a walk around the grounds on the signposted walking trail. I would highly recommend this hotel, could not be happier with our choice.

It was with incredulity that we were allocated a room, next to the workers rest facilities/restaurant, and with a view of a wall and hedge. The Mountain View room we booked had not been kept for us. The next room we were given was of a hedge. Disappointingly, this room did not have “ tranquil werf on their entrance doorstep and private terraces with spectacular unimpeded views of the mountains across the vines or meandering greens” This is misrepresentation, as are the misleading photographs of a spectacular pool that it transpires - is not available to guests staying in our rooms. We are only allowed access to the small pool at the Spa. This is not exclusive as this is for the use of anyone using the Spa. Yesterday, there were no seats left when we looked in. It is unconscionable that they continue to deliberately mislead potential guests. What you do offer is interrupted views of Pollsmore Prison

From the moment we arrived, to our departure, every detail of our stay was exceptional. The property grounds are breathtaking, and the dinner at the onsite restaurant head extraordinary.

I loved my stay here. The staff were so friendly and looked after me especially when I fell ill during my stay. The spa was wonderful. I would love to come and stay again!

Absolutely first class. The staff and rooms are out of this world. Enjoyed the included wine tasting and the restaurants. The great golf facilities were an added bonus.

We booked to stay for the night at the end of a 10 day holiday in SA. It was the perfect ending to our vacation: the hotel is gorgeous, the rooms tastefully and luxuriously furnished, the staff attentive, and the grounds beautifully maintained. The pool area is also a quiet oasis. Can’t recommend highly enough.

This is an exceptional hotel. Stunning surroundings, excellent facilities, superb and friendly staff, delicious food. What a way to end our holiday in the Cape. We will be back!
