I liked the foyer and the facilities available. We weren’t allowed in the room until 3 hours after the check in. This was quite inconvenient for the 1st day. We wasted the whole day waiting for the room to be open. We were promised it would be ready 3 times. I didn’t find the work going on in the area very comfortable. Outside was full of rubble and uneven pathways.

I didnt like the food at the restaurant. I dont recommend eating there. It is walking distance to Alfama if you are a walker, if not, i dont recommend it. Shopping and food is within walking distance. Eat somewhere cool about a 10-15 mins walk. Shopping is less expensive. There is a lot of contstruction in the area but other than that it's a peaceful area.

Out of all of the hotels we stayed at during our trip in Portugal, this was by the far my least favourite. We were greeted with a clump of hair and dirty towels when we entered our room, you can hear everything from the other rooms all night, they are doing construction in the building right next to our room and it looks like a dungeon when you get off the elevator to go to your room. I would definitely not recommend this hotel

Be prepared of most unusual hotel corridor I have ever seen. My shared photos have received comments of"what prisons was that"..

Overpriced, shower not working well, elevator carpet smells

We very much like the employees. They are friendly and helpful. However, we were very disappointed by our room, 308, on the black floor. We felt it was depressing and the bathroom was absurd and dangerous. A glass door with no door jamb that doesn’t fully close? A shower with no fixed shower head? Black carpet? We will refuse such a room in the future.

From check in to check out,all staff were friends,courteous and professional in every facet of their duties.A very pleasurable vacation from all aspects. We would not hesitate to stay there again.Everything we would expect of Doubletree at Hilton.
