Nice beach. Good spacious hotel in general but rooms need renovation. A bit tired looking. Great breakfast buffet and friendly staff.

Hard to find somebody who speaks English. Beach is all rocks have to go other hotels to swim. Dinning is limited.

the Hotel is very large and lacks a feeling of Luxury or intimacy; Stuff and undertrained, English is hardly spoken, and consumption is outrageously expansive; overall it is an OK hotel but would need a deep renovation and review of conditions and services; i would not recommend this hotel

The hotel’s architecture, the landscaping , the pool, the spa, the food and the cleanliness are all great, but the service is the poorest I have ever experienced at a Ritz-Carlton property. The staff are truly lovely and very hard working, but their training is clearly lacking, procedures are haphazard and the property is not led well by the GM. I had to make many, many complaints - handled well by the F&B manager, Fethi and the Hosptality manager, Elaine (she is AMAZING and without her personal intervention and incredible support, we would have left after the first couple of days), but the despite this, did not see the GM at all, not once, around the property. In the end, I made an appointment to see him and he didn’t turn up for the appointment! He did apologize for not coming, claiming he had been at another appointment that over ran, but that sort of poor management, attention to detail and downright rudeness is a clear example of all that is wrong with his hotel. I would never stay there again and indeed, am reconsidering my 20 years of loyalty to Ritz-Carlton properties. A bitterly, bitterly disappointing trip.

Expected better for a ritz Carlton. Breakfast was good with tons of selection. That was the best part. Toilet sink shower clogs and slow draining. Broken outlets. Carpet smells like mildew. Pool was nice

We were not happy with the balcony with a wall which was blocking the beautiful view.

I would say overall the property is beautiful. Where the property falls apart is the language. Language/mass confusion was a common theme. Being from Canada and traveling in China I’ve come to expect language barriers. But I have yet to see a situation so poorly handled like this property. Starting with arrival. A room was booked online as a resort view. However the hotel said to them, that qualified as a garden view. To me that makes no sense. Moving forward. The luggage was to be brought up to the room upon check in. The bags never came, we called down and they had no idea what luggage even meant. After further explanation, luggage was understood and an hour later the bags showed up. Adding insult to injury, the phone range 3 times after stating that they needed a luggage number. At this point the phone ringing woke up our infant child over and over after a long day of flying this was not great. Explaining that the luggage had arrived and the luggage number was no longer necessary the calling finally subsided. Next: room service was ordered, again a process considering no one spoke enough English to even process what a a chicken club sandwich was. Which to me just doesn't make sense. Considering the menu is in English, you’d hope at minimum someone could understand enough to just put an order in. Sadly the food showed up cold, and late. The order was incorrect. Additionally the air conditioning did not work. Entire stay was an over heated mass mis-communication of a stay.

This is a very beautiful resort. I loved the food in the Sand Restaurant. In the morning i had to wait up to half an hour to get seated for breakfast. That is not what I would expect from a Ritz Carlton. The pools are very nice, however the massage jets don’t work. The evenings are rather boring. Besides a DJ there is nothing going on. The SPA center is gorgeous.

Fantastic hotel. Rooms were huge and beautiful with great amenities. Breakfast went on and on - it was amazing. Several pools allowed privacy- beach was clean, water was great. My only complaint is that the restaurants at the Ritz were crazy expensive and better to go into town for dinner.

The hotel is beautiful. The design blends with the beautiful grounds and pools. There are several restaurant options, including a delicious Italian restaurant. The spa facilities were extensive and elegant. The rooms are spacious. The staff was helpful. English speakers among the staff were few but between hand signals, smiles and Google translates we navigated our way through well. Signage and menus are in Chinese and English. The resort does cater to families so be prepared for lots of little ones. That said, it did not affect our adult get away. There are lots of areas and activities that cater to families which allows adults to get away and enjoy quiet areas. It is a beautiful resort in a peaceful, scenic location. Definitely a “yes” if you find yourself in this beautiful corner of the world.

Fabulous property. Friendly staff. Hoss Vetry, Property Vice President is affable and very accommodating. A picturesque oasis only a short distance from the hustle bustle city.

We loved our stay here - it’s the second time. From the location on the sea to the staff and food everything is fantastic. The rooms on one side of the hotel have been renovated and are better than the other. The staff here are very helpful and leave nothing to be desired. The food in the restaurants is really good - especially Pearl, serving Chinese food. There are shops and an ice cream kiosk. The beach is wonderful with life guards at both the pool and beach. It’s the best kept secret. Go there you’ll love it.

We loved it. The place is gorgeous, the restaurants are top notch. The staff is, as you’d expect at a RItz-Carlton, readily available and anticipating your needs to the best of their abilities. The Ritz Kidz area for children is well sized and full of fun for the little ones. Overall we loved it. The one thing when considering location is their beach access is not the best among hotels, a bit steep and removed from the beach sitting arrangements, but we still enjoyed it.
