Room was very quaint but very limited on tv channels, wanted to use the spa but you have to make a reservation also you have to use stairs to get to your room and I had just had surgery and my husband had knee surgery other than that it was very nice.

We arrived on a hot day in June and our room was 81 degrees, according to the thermostat. We adjusted the temperature to 76 and left our room for the day. When we returned at 2:00 in the morning, the room was still 81. The fan on the air conditioner was whirring away, but the room was not being cooled. As it was late, we decided to simply open the balcony door and the window, which were both screened. Within minutes, our room was filled with every type of insect and bug. They were congregating on the night tables, the lamp shades, our phone screens. Bugs were flying in our noses and ears. We had no option but to call the front desk. The night attendant, Julius, was extremely apologetic, explaining that they'd had a power outage the night before and they thought all the air conditioners had been reset. Ours had not. Also, the pool was out of service during our stay because of the power outage. Julius quickly found us another room, albeit across the road from where we were, and he was most helpful in getting our belongings moved over. The downside was that the new room was up three flights of stairs, which was physically challenging for my companion and me. The new room was very satisfactory and we had no further disruptions for the duration of our stay. We really have to give kudos to Julius who saved the day and rescued us from a nightmare scenario. I just wish it hadn't been necessary in the first place. No one from management ever contacted us to follow up.

Stay for one night. In general the Inn was ok. A bit dated for sure. Had to have the AC on the get fresh air. The door in the bathroom was awkward. If there are any modifications in the future, I would suggest a smaller door and raising the vanity. The room was small but that was expected. The door at the top of the stairs opened into the stair well. Not sure that’s up to code. Picturesque location.

We really liked the restaurant - this is the shining star of Benmiller Inn. The owner Akbar Manji - needs to put in some capital to enhance the properties experience. Especially the carpets in the rooms near the spa. The staff are very friendly especially the restaurant staff!

The room was very large, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Curtains and chairs were dated but the rest of the room was very nice. The staff were friendly. Would have been nice to have some complimentary water bottles in the room upon arrival. The dinner we had was amazing. It would have been a nice gesture on their part if they had provided a complimentary dessert since they knew we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. Beautiful property and location. The pool and hot tub were closed when we arrived due to a previous power outage so maintenance was needed.

This is a beautiful property! So peaceful and serene. The staff was very nice at check in and restaurant staff were excellent as well. The food was superb. We had a very spacious room overlooking the River which was wonderful too. We will definitely book there again!

Peaceful location, nice room upgrades, free high speed wifi and parking, nice restaurant on property. Be mindful historic buildings spread out so no elevators in our building but likely some main floor rooms if this an issue Close to beaches and Goderich, shopping Staff all lovely to deal with.

Amazing setting/location - i would say a gem of a location!!- very relaxing place -but the room we had was dated - with carpet having spots , couches not friendly for a conversation nor looking at the TV- seemed just not proper configuration of the space usage. The chair had a broken wood cross support! Overall and not the cleanest nor the most comfortable bedding or the room!!! I guess being near the wooded lot and along river - brings in a few bugs - somehow they managed to get in the room- even with the screen door closed. Anyway- we managed to get some great walks and viewed sunsets in the nearby Bayfield- quaint little town! Definatelyworrh a visit. We loved the few independent resturants in Goderich and the boardwalk . I strongly felt we could have gotten a better value! Will definately be in the area again- not sure of Ben Miller!

Breakfast was the best part of this stay. Everything was made fresh. The property is orestine and exudes happiness with all the daffodils in bloom at the end of April. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stat here.
