The rooftop bar and view were excellent

The staff was super nice , rooms was clean, air conditioning was horrible which made sleeping very difficult. The breakfast buffet is horrible terrible selection, asked for omelette easily the worse I have ever had a dinner was equally terrible. But great location and great staff.

Good location, staff were good, ageing property showing signs, air conditioning didn't work properly, fridge ineffective and daily room cleaning was poor.

The hotel reception areas look impressive when you arrive but on closer inspection they are tired, worn out and uncomfortable. The area of the hotel is close to las ramlas about 5 minute walk but the area itself doesn’t feel safe. It was the night of a football match and we were too scared to leave the hotel as there was a near riot outside that lasted until 5am. Room itself was clean and the views amazing but I wouldn’t stay again.

Disappointed we were not able to check in until 3 even though we offered to pay more. This hotel is in a bad area of Barcelona, would have not stayed there knowing this. The room was good, food good, and cool design.

Good hotel in convenient location.

Everything inside the hotel was excellent, good service, nice and professional staff . The only negative aspect we were worried about is the surrounding area of the hotel, which is in our consideration unsafety and not clean enough.

Barcelo Raval Hotel has good service and very hospitable staff. The building is 4-5 stars beautiful like buildings in Vegas style. The vicinity is dominated by Moroccan, Romanian and Middle eastern people. It is trader busy area, constant people on the street. you will be fine as long as you mind your own business. Like anywhere else in the world, there will be a bad spot where shady people hang out and you have to avoid those places mostly at night. I actually witness a group (ethnic) street brawl happened during our stay there. Police are frequently patrolling the area for safety purposes.

Fun Hotel to stay at while visiting Barcelona Great 360 view of the city from the roof top bar. The room was very accommodating with a great view of the city as well. The breakfast was very good also.

We had a great stay, the hotel is clean, located near many tourist destinations, and the staff were very helpful.

The hotel is fine. Modern but lacks character. Check-in was a complete disaster with needing to queue up, to then be told to use a QR code and queue back up again. Breakfast was terrible. The surrounding area is not great and there is definitely better hotels/areas in Barcelona to stay in. Wonderful views across the city from the rooftop bar.

The hotel is located in las Ramblas and in the heart of Muslim residential and business neighborhood. Although most overseas flights arrive at 7-8 am, the check in is only offered after 3pm. Upon arrival we were promised the room at 1 pm, however, it was as not ready and we had to spread out to sleep on the lobby couch. Multiple pleas for our room keys went unanswered until we asked to see the manager. The staff are all non-native and come from all over the world. They did, however, adopted a poor, “go back where you came from” attitude of the locals. If you like being disrespected and feel unworthy, this hotel will be perfect for you. Location: very far from public transportation such as metro, train and bus. Add to that a massive construction work all along La Ramblas, Pope’s visit with closed streets and main traffic arteries and you will have a clear picture of navigating to and from the Barcelo Raval hotel. Room: very good, clean and comfortable. We had a suite with 180 degree panoramic views of Barcelona. The bed offered excellent soft sheets, a variety of pillows to choose from, whirlpool tub for two facing Park Montjuic. Some functional design details were not well considered: the height of the coffee station - being 5 feet tall I had to actually reach high above and after a couple of times that got physically tiring. Also having a main light control in the living room (which controlled the bathroom, bedroom and closet) was not great.

Clean, big and comfortable room. Very friendly staff. Fantastic rooftop view.

Room was clean and tidy and big enough for two adults and a child up to the age of 10 Unfortunately our son is 15 and 6ft 3 so the made up sofa bed was not great this should be stipulated in the information for a triple room. The door to the toilet was far to heavy to open and close for me Breakfast was good but I would invest in a better toaster. Rooftop bar was great brilliant views all the staff were friendly and helpful especially at check in.

Clean room , unsafe area

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT- The hotel itself is surrounded by a busy are and "park" (see photo). While the location is ideal to the gothic quarter (best part of the hotel) it's not a safe area at night. Lower level floors on ALL SIDES are loud all the time. We were awoken by homeless people screaming early morning hours. When I went to the front desk to ask about moving rooms due to the yelling homeless people that live outside the hotel they told me they could move me but it would be an additional charge per night. When we booked there was no where you could select a higher level floor. We had already booked a premium room. I inquired further about the charge for higher level floor where they told me it would be the exact same room I booked but on a higher floor. It was very clear that noise from the lower floors is a consistent problem for this hotel and rather than attempt to fix it they profit off it by charging more to move you to a higher floor. This hotel shows pictures of a "pool" and states it has one- what it has is not a swimmable "pool". The rooftop has a very beautiful view definitely a highlight of the hotel but closes at midnight, has poor upkeep, and was smaller than the photos showed. The house keeping staff is wonderful. They brought fresh towels, new water bottles, made the bed every day very happy. This hotel is not for families. Walls are very thin...we heard the couple next to us. Steamer in the room was great. Hotel was run down, chipping paint, stains, ect.

I’ve stayed here previously- it definitely could use a bit of updating. The sliding closet doors were old and hard to move. The bedding was nice. The pool is not really usable as a pool (it’s super small) and like everyone says- not the best area - especially for a single woman. However- the staff is friendly and you’ll sleep like the dead because of the blackout curtains in the room!

A well placed hotel where you can walk to all the main within 10-15 mins. There are lots of local restaurants and bars frequented by locals ( which we think shows they are good). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool is ideal for cooling off after sunbathing. To be highly recommend.
