Fantastic room and great location. Staff were friendly and professional.

I felt like we got ripped off. We asked for a canal view and our room was so dark and it didn't really have a full window to look out of. We spoke to some other guest and paid more than them but didn't have a nice room like theirs. It was disappointing. I really felt like we over paid for our room.

At first I was disappointed because the room was a bit tired, the layout odd, and the canal was tiny and not really a view. But I came to feel very comfortable and enjoy the great location, authenticity, and the staff who were all great except for one snarky man. All others were so helpful and welcoming.

Everything good

Great central location. Relatively quiet compared to main touristy locations but still quite close to main attractions. Despite being in an older exterior building the interior was very modern and up to date. The rooms were also quite spacious and unique, and I think better than shown in photos. Wonderful staff.

Lovely hotel with private dock for water taxi. Easily walkable to all areas. Dining and shopping in the surrounding area. Beautiful rooms.

Great hotel

The best location. The property feels like 500 year old charm for royalty, but with modern amenities. 3 prior doges called this place home before the Ruzzini family purchased it 300 years ago. Location is perfect. You get dropped off by one of those water taxis to the front of the hotel. Just outside the hotel is a large square, with a guy selling fresh fruits and vegetables every morning. There’s a small cafe/coffee shop just outside, and there’s a gelato shop within a 1 minute walk with mochi ice cream that was probably the best we’ve had in Italy. The Doge palace and St Mark Basilica is a 9 minute walk. There is a Japanese ramen noodle place within a 5 minute walk, and our favorite to-go pasta place (Pasta & Pasta) about 5 minutes away. I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice for the first time.
