Large room with balcony and lovely views over the 18th green towards the mountains. Staff are very attentive and the room is always clean. Nothing is too much trouble and they regularly bring fresh water, small gifts and refreshments.

The hospitality is horrible, they gave me hard time to enter with my car every time you go in or out Checkin took long time, room was clean, food is ok, I asked for drinks multiple time I couldn't get any, servers don't speak English at all. The major problem is when you check out they hold you for around 30 minutes to send someone to check the room to make sure everything is ok, customer service in general is horrible. The hotel only have 1 pool with no service or food at the pool , they have a golf course in the hotel but i didn't get a chance to play. Not recommended at because you can get much better hotel at the same area with more convenient check-in and out.

This was our second stay, we were welcomed like old friends. The staff are absolutely amazing they make the holiday really special. Hopefully we will be back later in the year

Everything was perfect

Do not go here the staff lies to you. Was setup and money was conned out of me. Management is extremely rude. This place is unsafe and needs to be removed from all travel websites. Feared for our lives this was the worst vacation resort ever.

The employers who working in hospitality just a great image for the german hospitality of stiegenberger hotels , abdel in Restraunt, kareem, azzazy , amr in reception, ahmed in housekeeping those guys was perfectly splinded.

Good for relaxation

Not for solo travellers. Staff and service are focussed on couples sometimes appearing to show a disregard of solo travellers. Once you become accustomed to this the hotel is great. Rooms are very comfortable and the who public areas are spotless.

Everything was outstanding except the half board issue was really irritating I wish management reviewed this I don’t have to hassle for bottles of water or soft drink specially the hotel in middle of nowhere

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun or wanting to play golf this hotel could be for you. Small hotel with great friendly staff. it feels like coming home! The golf course is probably the best in Egypt. Well worth a visit and we hope to return next year.

Although this hotel is set some way from the beach it just adds to its appeal. Makadi has and continues to be developed by large (600 room plus) all inclusive hotels. Steigenberger has just 80 rooms and is in a different t class altogether. Surrounded by its own golf course it is an oasis of calm and sophistication. The rooms are large and well appointed with a larger than average bathroom. Separate bath and shower and plenty of storage space. Bathrobes, slippers and tea making facilities along with a large balcony ensure a very comfy stay. The bed is on the softer side and very comfy. The food was good, especially the lunch by the pool. The pool is large and heated. The staff are excellent, always smiling and as helpful as can be. In short, an excellent location for some winter sun, away from the crowds.

Steigenberger Makadi Hotel My wife and I have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week at this hotel. We are thrilled to have discovered this place on Expedia.co.uk and will return in the future. The Steigenberger Makadi is a medium sized (under 100 rooms) hotel servicing a very good, championship golf course. We don’t play golf but we were attracted to this place because it is surrounded by the links and was therefore away from other hotels and shops making it a quiet and relaxed environment. Added to that there are no children as it is “adult only” and we were very happy.

A great adults only hotel. Small, classy and civilised, perfect for a relaxing, quiet break. Close enough to town and beach if you want more to do, but far enough away to be quietly exclusive. Sea view room for morning sun, golf course view room for evening sun.

it's very quiet hotel and it's very good for relaxation, breakfast was good with quality food and good varieties, but Dinner was normal and dessert was not good enough. it's good for couples.

Really nice hotel and the staff went above and beyond

We had a good stay, the place is well taken off and the pool is great. The only downside may be was the desserts and they didn't know whether we need to pay for a lunchbox or not. They offer a complementary romantic dinner by the pool on Sundays and Wednesdays which is lovely. The room was generally clean and seemed just renewed, the remote control batteries were dead and the housekeeping forgot to clean the bathroom on one day. I highly recommend the aqua park close buy, there's free transportation and a nice discount if you ask at the reception.

Well maintained hotel. Pleasant staff in general though some of the waiters need more training. Breakfast was Ok but dinner was horrible in their different themes. The pastry definitely need huge improvement. Good quality for money.
