Well situated. Hotel felt a bit dated but we got a good rate so I guess that reflects it. Staff were friendly but service a little slow and inefficient. We had two rooms for our family. My room was fine but the second room the shower didn’t drain and flooded the bathroom which was a nuisance. I slept perfectly well but it would have been nice to be able to change the temperature- the panel in my bedroom didn’t seem to work. Rooms were clean but looked like they could do with a refurb.

Check in and out was quick and easy with friendly reception. All the staff were excellent, especially the ladies serving the evening meal. They all seemed happy in their work, and a credit to your company. The room was good, the bed massive, and the shower powerful. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice from cereals, fruit and cooked food. One of the best we’ve had. The evening meal was also very good, great choice, quickly served and a reasonable price Overall, very happy.

great room just bog standard hotel

All ok

The room was dirty, and the toilet was filthy. The lights weren't working well, and the mattress was so uncomfortable on our first night we couldn't sleep. It was the worst hotel we stayed at. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Disgusting!

Bathroom bin wasn’t emptied and there was no fridge in the room. The remote control for the TV wasn’t working

I’ll start with the staff are very friendly and welcoming and in terms of location to the A1 motorway it’s brilliant. On a personal level I’m very tall and I’ve never been to a hotel before where I’ve had to duck my head or feel my head is touching the ceiling in parts of the hotel/room as much as I did staying here. The room I had wasn’t great as on the small side and I had an issue with cleanliness in the room which I’ve reported to the hotel which are now looking into. Overall I feel it’s a hotel that Holiday Inn need to update. It’s serviceable for a short stay but I’ve stayed in cheaper Travelodge’s that have bigger rooms and probably a better standard of hotel.
