This is a hotel you can escape from Shanghai and spent a weekend . Very crowded parking lots, and guests smoking freely in the hallways are the major issues. You would also not expect any western food in the breakfast.

Stayed there a couple of times. Quiet room and clean, nice neighbourhood with a lot of local restaurants

Good all round hotel. Staff very friendly. Good selection for breakfast. My second visit here and always good service.

Attachment to the mall make this location very convenient for shopping and eating options.

Enjoyed the stay, nice staff, good swimming pool, good (but expensive) restaurant. However, good restaurants are in the adjoining mall if you like Shanghai food. KFC, Golden Arches, Dairy Queen a 5 minute walk if you need a American. The adjoining mall has many stores of all types Tesco grocery store behind KFC for staples and practical gifts.

The rooms were very nice. The bed was comfortable. The laundry service excellent. I'll stay there again in the future.

The hotel is nicely furnished and clean. Few of the staff speak English, but I was generally able to get my message across. The air conditioning in both my rooms on two different stats did not work well. In both rooms I could not get the temp below 24C even at night. This left me sweating all night and I got little sleep.

Good stay. Everything I needed and quiet. Good breakfast buffet.

I had read some reviews after I made the booking and was a little worried about what I was going to be confronted with. Let me assure any reader, the negative reviews are so far from reality. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful and helpful and overcame the language barrier. My room was better than expected and very comfortable. The breakfast is an absolute must. Best I have had at any hotel.

Wifi should have better speed

a nice basic good hotel. Pool a little crowded. That's my only complaint. Great Mall beside it. Breakfast was good too. Large selection of food.

The interiors are old and greatly in need of renovations. The air-conditioning doesn't work and I'll pity those that are staying during summer. The fridge doesn't work either! However, it's close to the shops in a convenient location. Value for money? NO!

Had stayed in hotel before and found if good but this time there was a smell of smoke in the room despite asking for non-smoking and there was a constant banging noise adjacent to the room. I highlighted these items at checkout but got no response from staff.

After 4 nights of asking for a solution to the hear, we finally checked out a day early. It was oppressively hot, impossible to sleep. Room service was appalling. Staff tried to be helpful but had nothing to work with.

Very helpful staff

I have stayed at the New Century several times. It is a great place to stay for business in and around Songjiang. The rooms are large, clean and well designed. The hotel has numerous dining options and is connected to a small mall with shopping, more dining and a Tesco grocery store. Whenever I am working in the vicinity, this hotel is my home base. It never disappoints.

Positioned outside the city it is a long way from any of the recommended tourist attractions. However if you should be doing business in the area it is a pleasant hotel looking out over a park and greenery. There is a mall directly behind the hotel with a wide range of eating opportunities.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The service was excellent. It was great having the shopping center right outside the door with many options of local restaurants and western style restaurants.

The hotel is away from the city. However, it is a 5 min drive to the nearest MRT station and you can reach all parts of Shanghai using the tube

清潔で快適なホテル。ただ、朝食会場が混みすぎていて入れなかったのと、別会場は用意されていたものの入るのに長蛇の列で並び、箸や食器が足りず、コーヒーマシンもうまく動作せず、さらに大テーブルに相席で落ち着かない環境でした。
